Great book loved it. Characters you wanted to love.
Love this book, great characters and the writing makes for a compelling read!!
I am reading the whole series now.
I loved it. It was very entertaining and fun.
I love these charachters and look for each new book that comes out – funny and fun to read. I love the style and the humor.
Love
The guidelines at the beginning of the chapters are a welcome comic relief.
A fun read on a rainy day or during the corona virus shut-in.
R rated. ••SPOILER ALERT•• Well written book but the plot is totally unbelievable. Donna and Carl (two of the “best assassins” in the business) keep managing to miss each other when they shoot. Donna allows herself to repeatedly be distracted so that Carl escapes – over and over. I’m done.
I like Josie Brown’s books but this book was not the light, humorous read that she usually writes. It went from funny light reading to graphic scenes of abuse, rape and human trafficking. These are not funny topics.
Most moms would enjoy a 2nd job like this. Good way to let off some steam lol.
This book was as good as the first.
Fun read! Main character is well woven!
Enjoyed this book
Good read if you like improbable story line… like True Lies movie… For me, I did not want to get involved in an ongoing circus of ‘almost killing the bad guy and its wrecking my life’… but the chapter social advice was priceless. I may use at sometime for really annoying people.
Easy read
The Housewife Assassin’s Guide to Gracious Killing was packed with plenty of action, humor, romance, catty female neighbors, and of course—assassinations.
Donna Stone seems to be your typical suburban wife and mother, except for her job as a government sanctioned assassin.
Each chapter begins with a laugh out loud version of a (twisted) gracious hostess how-to guide.
Donna manages to deftly perform her social calendar while balancing motherhood and murder for hire.
A fun read by an author with a great sense of humor.
Donna has learned that her dead husband faked his death, deserted her while she was delivering her youngest daughter. She has been convinced to join the Acme Agency to become an assassin. Now she has a mission to save the visiting Russian president while he visits the US. She also needs to serve her EX with divorce papers, so she can move on with her life and marry Jack . jack is also with the Acme Agency and has moved in with Donna to pose Carl (the ex). It’s one crazy twist after another in Donna’s life, but now Jack has become more to her than just a partner in fighting crime and dealing with international intrigue. Donna’s snarky comments and sarcastic observations continue to enhance the storyline. And Jack brings the romance big time!
Not very realistic. Kind of warped. Just ok. Not that impressive.
I really enjoyed this book.
