When two hot, haute heroines team up to solve a murder, neither can afford to be fashionably late.No one expected to find a dead girl in the Royal Suite at the Babylon’s posh London club. Who would kill her? And why? With little to go on and no friends to rely on, Lucky O’Toole, the Babylon’s Chief Problem Solver, is dispatched to…well, to solve the problem. But she needs to be in Paris. Her … to be in Paris. Her fiancé—and, worse, his mother—are counting on her presence at a party in her honor in seventy-two hours, more or less. With a personal-life time-bomb ticking, Lucky hopes for a quick solution.
A mystery woman, seen leaving the Royal Suite just before the girl’s body is discovered, attracts Lucky’s attention. She has to be the key…
On loan to the CIA, assassin Donna Stone Craig and her crack black-ops team have stepped into a viper’s nest. First, they darn near get out-bid and overwhelmed at an auction to acquire a vintage purse hiding some critical intel its lining. Then a very important source Donna is to meet at the Babylon London Club winds up dead. And the young woman’s intel—bearing incredible global consequences—is encrypted. She was the only one who could give Donna the cipher, and she’s dead. Surely someone else would know. But, who?
It’s easy to see why Acme’s prime suspect is the tall brunette who acts like she owns the place. Lucky O’Toole shows up at the wrong time, and in the wrong place.
But before Donna and Lucky can find the right answers, they’ll need to overcome their reservations, and resolve their differences. But can they learn to trust each other before the real killer gets away?
They have to. Their lives—and world peace—depend on it.

Enjoyed the book. I felt it was more of a Lucky story. You need to read this if you want to read the next Lucky story. It has a different feel because she is on her own away from all her support.
Fun adventure, easy to read
Reader’s of both the Lucky O’toole & Housewife Assassin series will love this character-combined, author-combined international adventure! The positioning of the characters is terrific and the story is engrossing and never dull!
Liked the twists and turns of who done it…
I read and love both of these series and adore Lucky and Donna. I have to say I found myself irritated at Donna and championing Lucky but was thrilled with how it worked out. I think they would be great friends and would love to see another book with both characters!
I really love these 2 main characters and hope that they get together again in the future. I would recommend reading at least 1 or 2 of each series to really up the insider feeling and the laughs. I will actually BUY books from these 2 series. I am a re-reader and look forward to visiting both Lucky and Carol again!!! I highly recommend both series and this book.
Love the series.
Keeps the story going
In both Josie Brown and Deborah Coonts latest novel Lucky and Donna go to London. Lucky and Donna in the same place…what could possibly go wrong? As expected, just about everything, though our stalwart heroines manage to pull things out in the end. Those that haven’t read either series will love this introduction to the other character. Those that have read both will be in reader heaven. As an added bonus…we find out what Lucky’s mom decided to name the twins. I’m not telling, you’ll just have to read for yourself.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Very interesting plot, I’m in
Two of my favorite authors join forces — a great book
This was my 2nd Lucky book & I enjoyed this light reading.
Really wanted to like this book because it had the two lead characters were female. But I could not. Some of the characters were not fully developed and the “jumping” back and forth did not help the story. It was not interesting enough to finish the book.
I thought this book was a little boring and unrealistic. Not to my taste in reading material.
Hated the format of jumping around so much that you couldn’t follow any plot.
Wonderful book, fun characters. Waiting for another sequel.
what a fun way to spend an afternoon….fun characters and evolving story line.
Confusing Characters I had a hard time figuring out who was on what team
I was living this book, I have read separate books about these women , but about half way through, it wouldn’t load the rest of it! Very disappointing
So far fetched could not get past 5 chapters. Not my cup of tea.
