Moderately interesting, 3 generation storyline. An interesting look a role of women in high society during the Victorian era.
Great series loved it
So happy I found this book on Bookbub. Wonderful characters and awesomely told story. I downloaded book 2 as soon as I was finished and am reading it now.
The characters are wonderfully developed and connected in a strong way
I liked this book. It was interesting to find out at the end what happened to each owner.
In the end she did save the house, which was her prediction.
Well researched. Historically informative and we’ll written.
Didn’t finish it. Frustrating story line.
I thought this book was too fragmented. I could see this book becoming three books, if the author had filled out each section. Frustrated me. I never finished the book – which is rare for me.
Couldn’t stop reading it. Ended up having to get next two books in the series as I wanted to know what happened next. Great blend of going back into the past along with present day parts.
Loved it!
I enjoyed the story line and interesting twists.
Interesting for a good beach read. Some family members had long stories and some had almost none, which was kind of strange. A few unanswered questions which I assume could be answered in the.sequel. On the whole, it was entertaining.
One roof the best books I’ve read in a long time. Could hardly put it down.
I loved this book. I was sucked into the characters and story line almost immediately. Highly suggest this book and the other 2 for anyone liking historical yet up to date books
Very repetitive.
Liked the story of the house.
Three stories in one, over several generations, about the Armstrong mansion. Interesting characters and stories.
I was not sure if I liked it until I got into it & as every generation came along I got more engrossed. The author was very good at the lives & times of each generation & the changing of the world as the book went on. the next book sounds even more interesting.
bad language
Predictable. Couldn’t get into any of the characters, didn’t finish this one.
