Pilgrim Cove–where love is as powerful as the ocean next door..On the surface, Pilgrim cove seems like any other coastal town. Picturesque and peaceful with long stretches on unspoiled beach, fresh ocean breezes and the sense of time passing slowly. However……only in Pilgrim Cove live a group of friends called the ROMEOs whose sole aim is to take care of the town….only in Pilgrim Cove stands … town.
…only in Pilgrim Cove stands a unique house right on the beach. SEA VIEW HOUSE. A very special place–some say magical–to the people who reside within each season.
…and only in Pilgrim Cove are strangers welcomed while everyone else takes a front row seat as a love story unfolds.
THE HOUSE ON THE BEACH is the first of the four-book Pilgrim Cove series.
Laura McCloud has a bright future but needs a place to pick up the pieces of her life and career after losing her mom, her boyfriend and surviving a battle with breast cancer. A script that doesn’t play well for a single woman. Happy childhood summers in Pilgrim Cove pull her back to town and a stay in Sea View House.
Matthew Parker, his two young sons and his dad have shared a home since both men were widowed several years ago. And now, no women are needed in the Parker domain. But when Matt meets Laura, he discovers that his home might be missing something vital—a woman’s love.
Can these two determined people figure out what’s important and take a chance on a new beginning?

The characters is this book are realistic which makes them totally relatable. The story line is original and engaging. There is both humor and hurt in this well written tale. I highly recommend it!
It was a great read and I loved the characters.
I love this book and didn’t want it to end
just ok
Great storyline and very well written.
I read 4 chapters before giving up. I regret that I wasted my time and $1 on this book. Very slow-paced and boring. I understand that the heroine had breast cancer, but we don’t need so many details of her scars.
This book is inspirational for everyone. Linda’s characters touch so many demographics and draw you in: the’ caring for agong parents and their eventual passing, loss of a spouse, cancer and death, surviving breast cancer and the worries of one’s sexuality afterwards, children with disabilities and the bullying they encounter, balancing career and family, loss and healing. The list goes on. All this is set in a magical Oceanside setting, in winter. I enjoyed every page.
Loved this book!
Love this book will read more in this series
I really enjoyed reading this book. When I finished I went back in and bought the others to finish reading about the other stories of the house. I thought that so many people it would be hard to follow the book or it would be confusing, but it wasn’t at all. The book described the town and the area around, I could almost picture seeing it. I enjoy reading books like this because I can picture it clearly.
Reading this book was an inspiration. I felt joyful and engaged all of the way through. I cannoit recommend this book highly enough. While it does not change the world, it warms the heart of the reader and inspires joyful thoughts long after the last page is turned.
I read this book and enjoyed it so much that I have purchased and read the other books in this series. The characters are great and it is a feel good set of stories!
I could read it again
Fun read. Heartfelt.
A pleasant book with characters you grow to care about. Enjoyable easy read.
