This book was full with humor, some drama, angst, and so much heart I couldn’t put it down. Tucker met his match with Sam. They have undeniable chemistry, and cute but sassy banter they made my heart melt. I absolutely adored this book.
The Kane Twins from the Strickland University Senators. Come across as highly arrogant pigs. This one is Tucker and Samatha. He was an arrogant prick not sure why she forgave him. He sure can do first dates though. Do love the Pennsylvania setting being a Jersey girl myself. Love the mentions of flyers, wells Fargo center and Villanova where I actually work part time.
Loving this series. Tucker and Samantha have great chemistry and banter. A bit of history between them makes things really interesting when he, unknowingly, contacts her to be his tutor so he doesn’t fail a class and get kicked off the hockey team. Samantha is working multiple jobs to put herself through college. Looking forward to the next book.
Loved it
This is another great story by Jillian. Absolutely loved Tucker. A great sports romance that’s hard to put down.
Oh Tucker..sigh! This was such a fun read, just love Tucker and Samantha and all the obstacles they went through. Really loving the Face-Off Legacy series and looking forward to the next.
A fantastic story!! The storyline is filled with mystery, humor, romance, and plenty of twists and turns. The chemistry between Tucker and Sam was great. A little about the story; Tucker plays hockey at Strickland University. To be an active player you have to have good grades. Tucker has gotten in trouble in the past for cheating on tests. Tucker has to find a tutor to help him. Sam is the tutor Tucker gets. Sam and Tucker have met before, and it wasn’t good. So what lesson will Sam have for Tucker ? This was a great read ! Looking forward to the next book ! I read this book as an arc program.
Tucker and Sam have a drunken one night stand freshman year but now she’s a teaching assistant and he needs a tutor. Can Sam help Tucker without falling for him and can Tucker win Sam’s heart? Sam and Tucker’s journey to get their HEA is full of mystery, betrayal, secrets, forgiveness, romance and unexpected twists that surprised me. I am so looking forward to reading the next book in the Face-Off Legacy series.
This is book #3 in the Face-Off Legacy Series. Each book in the Face-Off Legacy Series is a full-length standalone novel that can be read in any order, complete with a HEA,
In this book we have Tucker Kane, who is a privilege kid who doesn’t really care about much other than playing hockey. Tucker is a hockey player who has been failing his class, so in order for him to maintain his reputation and secure a place to be a professional hockey player in his future, he needs to excel in the subject he failed. Tucker tries to get a tutor to help with his college classes. Tucker doesn’t want to put in the effort of actually studying, he just wants to play hockey. The student tutor he tries to hire, isn’t who it’s supposed to be. He is supposed to meet up with Sam. However, it’s a different girl. When he realizes who it was he was supposed to meet he wants to know why she is hiding from him. They had a bit of history before and a good one too. Tucker met Sam at a party a while back, and they hooked up, but it ended badly.
Sam is a hard working college student. She is double majoring in Journalism and Law. She works 3 sometimes 4 jobs. She needs the money to help her get through college. Student loans are not enough for her. She has an alcoholic father who just drinks and passes out on the coach at home. Instead of working and being an actual adult, he relies on Sam to take care of him. Sam doesn’t know why she bothers supporting him when he can’t even shower. Sam is the adult and the father is a child who she has feels obligated to take care of.
The hockey team has been getting hit hard by a social media presence that sends out emails / texts to the hole school when the hockey team does something bad. No one seems to know who this person is who is sending out the text messages. Other than the signature “The Queen”. Will the hockey team be in jeopardy with the college with what she posts about them?
Can Sam help him without crossing the line? Will he make it easy for her after finding out she’s gonna be teaching him? What will happen if they cross the line?
I did receive a ARC copy for the Author. I am freely leaving a review.
Tucker and Sam brought the heat in this book and not only in the bedroom. Sam made Tucker work for every thing he never knew he wanted. After the way he treated her years before and every other girl he hooked up with he deserved everything he got and every hoop she made him jump through. Love this series!!
I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Smoking hot sports romance filled with witty banter, emotional thrills and heart pounding action….. Loved it!!! They need each other in so many ways and don’t even realize the most important one till much latter…. Great opposites must attract and make each other better romance.
It took me a while to like Tucker as he was too self-centered. As he learned to look beyond himself to fix their situation, I came to care about him. Samantha was such a hard worker, intelligent, and trying to overcome her hard life. There was a point that I leaned more toward Tucker because of Sam’s secrets. There were touching moments as well as some steamy scenes. Overall, I enjoyed the story.
I received an ARC through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This is the third book in this amazing series. Tucker is an NHL hockey player, who glides through life with his good looks and fame, but unfortunately his grades are suffering, and he needs to up his game if he is to secure his place as a professional hockey player. Sam is a teaching assistant with a history with Tucker, and she is assigned to be his tutor. No spoilers; this is a definite must read for all sport romance lovers, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is fun, humorous, and entertaining which all had me totally captivated throughout, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
Tucker is a carefree, hockey loving, playboy, that skirts through life on his good lucks and fame on the ice. He has never really put much thought into the fact that it’s damaging him physically and mentally, his focus in the classroom is pretty much non-existent. His grades are suffering, he’s on suspension, and if he doesn’t do something now he’ll end up being booted off the team. Being threatened with potentially having to say goodbye to his dream of playing hockey professionally is enough to scare him, so he decides it’s time to get serious and get a tutor.
But when he shows up for his first lesson he realizes he is in big trouble, his tutor is a woman from his past, and he didn’t end things with her on the best of terms… and she plans to make him pay dearly for that!
Teaching Tucker is a story of redemption, second chances, and forgiveness. After meeting Tucker in previous installments I knew he was spirally down a path that wasn’t going to end well, and after getting a better view of him it was evident the boy was a mess. He let his partying and carousing get in the way of what was important, and it took a strong willed woman like Samantha to help him see that. I loved watching her giving him grief, she kept him on his toes, and me smiling. This was an enjoyable addition to the series, it was engaging, steamy, and good on the heart. Highly recommend you check out this series, the men of the Face-Off Legacy series are certain to score serious swoon points, and their stories will put a big squeeze on your heart!
I requested an advanced copy of this title, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this entertaining read. I thought the story was fun and it held my attention. This is Tucker and Sam’s second chance romance. The chemistry is scorching between these two and the attraction powerful, but baggage from the past casts a very long shadow over this couple. I liked Tucker. He had a lot of charm, has quite the sense of humor and is hot. To start off though, he suffered from a major dose of BMOC which made him a way too full of himself. Luckily life and Sam will take care of that. Sam I really liked. She was sassy, smart, strong, caring and had a core of sweetness and kindness. It was easy for me to sympathize with her. Their story has drama, emotional turmoil, tension, secrets and steamy passion. A terrific book and an excellent addition to this series. Already looking forward to book four.
Tucker finally has his story and with Sam as his counterpart what a story it was. I didn’t quite enjoy Tucker’s character in the beginning but he redeemed himself half way through the story. This was an enjoyable second chance romance read with suspense, betrayal and sweet hot loving. Can’t wait to see who is next to find their HEA.
Another amazing read in this story that I absolutely couldn’t put down. I was so excited for Tucker’s story and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Tucker and Sam I love together. I like how Sam doesn’t cave in too Tucker at first, but know one can resist Tucker for long. But when secrets get exposed can Sam keep Tucker or will she get penalized? Love this hockey series and love all the characters and of course I can’t wait for Jamie’s story next.
Another winner in this series! Exciting to see Tucker get his HEA! Loved the second chance aspect of this romance and boy does he have to work to earn it!
I read an arc copy of this book
OMG Tucker and Sam’s story was beautiful love story, So Tucker Party animal were Sam was student Tutor/barista. There banter back and forth was so funny, This one emotional roller coaster of ride for both of them, There chemistry could melt ice rink. Can they get a second chance for a HEA or will the Queen destroy everything for Tucker and Sam, Want more well you just have to read it find out. I definitely recommend, I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy. Another awesome story Jillian
I really love this series.
Tucker is the epitome of the “rich, etitled jock” through most of this story. Girls falling at his feet, most of which he doesn’t remember; including Sam.
Their paths cross again a few years later and Sam is all about revenge and getting back at Tucker. Tucker remembers who she is and all of a sudden, can’t get her out of her mind. They have this pull between them and they just can’t ignore it.
When something comes along to threaten everything they’ve built, it’s going to take some serious work to keep them together.
Another great story in this series! I can’t wait to see what happens to the others!!!!
2.5 stars
This is the third in the Face Off Legacy series and centers on Tucker Kane. All of these books overlap in time, but tell the stories of the offspring of the original Face Off series characters. In the previous book, we got to know the identical twins Trent and Tucker Kane when they fell for the same girl (and Trent ends up winning her heart). Tucker is partying too hard, is failing his classes, and may get kicked off of the hockey team if he doesn’t get his act together. He goes on the college tutor website, and makes an appointment with some one named Sam. Little does he know that this is Samantha, a drunken hookup he had when they were both freshmen. For Tucker, he didn’t do relationships, so he blew her off. Sam wasn’t happy being used and forgotten. Of course they are thrown together and find their way to their happily ever after. This book didn’t do it for me. Tucker was a narcissistic jerk, and I didn’t see a lot of growth in his character. I was really wasn’t sure what Sam saw in him, other than the fact he was hot. At about 70% mark of the book, Tucker seemed to completely change his personality. It almost seemed like the author realized that they needed to wrap things up and skipped a few chapters. I like this series overall, so I am looking forward to the next installment in this series. I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book from the author for my honest review.
