Teach me everything. My whole life, I’ve been a good girl. I follow rules like nobody’s business. I obey guidelines like I was born to it. Show me a line, and I’ll toe it.I’m even a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Good is my middle name. And then, I break one tiny little rule. Miniscule. Inconsequential.Next thing I know, I’m trapped with an incredibly handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut … handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut emeralds, biceps that makes my head spin, and a smile that has me rethinking all my life choices.
We escape a bar bathroom together. We go on an impromptu date. We share the hottest kiss I’ve ever had, one that leaves me panting for more. We promise to see each other again.
Turns out, we see each other the next morning.
In my calculus class.
Which he’s teaching.
My handsome, sexy date is Professor Loveless, and we’ll be seeing each other plenty. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all semester.
There’s no choice but to call it off. We both have too much at stake: I could lose my scholarship, and he could lose his entire career.
But I can’t call off the way I feel.
I can’t call off the way he looks when he rolls up his sleeves and explains imaginary numbers.
I can’t call off the heated glances, or the way our hands touch when I hand in my homework, or the memory of his body pressing against mine that night.
I’m a virgin.
He’s my professor.
And if we give in, it could cost us both everything.
But I’m so tired of being a good girl.
The Hookup Equation is a complete standalone romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your glasses.

Thalia and Caleb are great and I love how smart they both are. I enjoyed this book, just not quite as much as the rest of the series.
When Thalia and Caleb cross paths they have no idea that they will meet again, problem being, Caleb is a professor at the university where Thalia is a senior. This is a well written tale which is taboo and is humorous and steamy with witty banter and amazing secondary characters. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I recommend for all.
I love hot professor and student stories and this book did not disappoint! I mean, hello, Professor Loveless. The characters in this story are fantastic, both character and story building throughout is superb! Plus I have to say Caleb and Thalia’s meet cute is fantastically hilarious!
I keep it short and sweet and just say this. I think this book is amazing and I would highly recommend reading it.
Hysterical beginning – Leaves you laughing!
Caleb and Thalia have an unusual initial meeting. (not giving it away…) and have an immediate connection. Only to find out later than Thalia is a student in Caleb’s first Calculus class as a full professor. They know the rules, but the attraction is undeniable.
While we all know and love the Loveless clan, Thalia does not have the same happy home life. As they try to keep their distance yet support each other during events, tensions rise. To say more would be stealing your joy in reading this amazing story. Laughter, love and tragedy all rolled into an edge-of-your seat story.
The emotions might just go straight to your heart – but the ride is well worth it!!
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Roxy Noir always knows how to deliver a super fun and sexy read and her latest book, The Hookup Equation, did not disappoint. Filled with humor, a dash of angst, and plenty of heat, I was hooked from the meet-cute.
I loved Thalia and Caleb. Their connection was on point. From their awesome banter to their sizzling chemistry, everything just worked for these two. Add to that the forbidden/taboo element of their relationship and these two had magic. I love me some forbidden romance so I was here for it all! Secondary characters were fun and served to get to know the MCs better. Overall such a fun read. Definitely recommend. 4 stars.
I loved this latest Loveless brothers book. I have loved each one I’ve read so far, but this might be my favorite. The cover is *swoons* definitely my favorite. That vision of Caleb is all kinds of dreamy goodness.
I enjoy this forbidden professor/student storyline and I think it was well done here, with some unique bits brought to the plot.
The relationship and banter between the Loveless brothers will probably always be my favorite aspect of every book. It’s hilarious and sweet and just makes me want to laugh and grin like a fool.
I thoroughly enjoyed Caleb and Thalia as characters and their story. The secondary characters also brought a lot to the plate.
Two thumbs up for this one!
The Hookup Equation is a fantastic teacher/student romance. I’ve loved every Loveless brother so far and Caleb has got to be one of my favorites so far. Caleb and Thalia have this chemistry from their very first meeting. You feel for both of them when they realize their romance is on the forbidden side. I love how caring Caleb is to Thalia for everything she goes through. He is sweet and sexy. Thalia is a little innocent yet so strong. This relationship was destined to grow from their first meeting. You will be taken on this wonderful ride that is Thalia and Caleb and just end with a huge grin on your face. I couldn’t put this one down and loved every moment of this one.
Caleb and Thalia: Witty, sexy and wonderful.
Wonderful: I was worried about reviewing the Hookup Equation as I am not a fan of the professor/student trope.
BUT
Ms. Noir handled it so very well (maybe Caleb took on too much blame, but then Thalia rose to the occasion and read him the riot act) and the book was wonderful. Truly wonderful. From start to finish it held my attention and I was sad when it ended.
Witty: I loved the easy banter between Caleb and Thalia right from the start. That bathroom scene … so funny.
Sexy: The chemistry … Right from the very beginning they burned the pages (or screen) with their connection. They never stood a chance and nothing, but nothing, was awkward and sleezy.
Well done, Roxie Noir, on delivering another 5star read. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for the author.
This book is a work of sheer beauty … filled to the brim with intense emotion.
You will find a love that is so deep and pure that it would do anything to protect the loved one from any harm … A love so blazing hot that it threatens to scorch you from head to toe …
You will find tragedy in many forms … past and present …
You will find laughter … carefree, uncontrolled and exuberant … The banter between Caleb and Thalia and Caleb and his brothers … hilarious and priceless …
And you will find heartbreak …
… the full range of human emotions … skilfully unfolded, masterfully created …
Words fail me.
I think this book is one of the best I’ll read this year.
We finally get baby brother, Caleb, who is another swoony Loveless brother. It’s not everyday you meet the love of your life in the men’s room at a bar but when Caleb and Thalia do, it’s the start of something special. Unfortunately, Caleb turns out to be Professor Loveless and Thalia is a student in his class. What will they do? I’m not telling but I think you will have a little and a little drama, too.
I am not in love with student teacher relationships but the author made it work. The age gap was reasonable. Thalia was a senior so it didn’t have that skeevy feel to it. It turned out to be a good story. I’m also not in love with older virgins but I hardly thought about because it was worked into the story seamlessly.
This book has wonderful characters (especially those Loveless boys), along with a well written taboo relationship story, enough laughs to balance out the drama and angst, and a very nice HEA.
If you haven’t read this series, now would be a good time to start. I recommend this book and the entire series.
After a chance meeting Thalia and Caleb have some serious chemistry only to later find out he’s her professor. He can’t risk his career and she can’t risk her scholarship but these two can’t deny the intensity they feel around each other. I love humorous banter in stories and this fit perfectly!!
Caleb Loveless is in his first year of teaching at the university when he and Thalia Lopez are accidentally locked into the men’s restroom. They go to an art exhibit and then make plans for another date. Unfortunately, it turns out that Thalia is a student at the university, and to make matters worse, specifically one of Caleb’s math students, and the university has strick rules against a professor having a relationship with a student.
These are sexy, unique, compelling, and often, funny characters. Thalia and Caleb fall for each other quickly, but they will have to overcome a major roadblock to be able to enter into a relationship. A wonderful happily ever after romance with unexpected twists, and beautifully well written, and sometimes heartbreaking family drama that might make you cry. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am volutarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Calculus, good girls and bad boy professors.
Thalia Lopez is a college senior, a good girl (that means VCard) and by no means, a rule breaker.
Caleb is a professor. Who happens to kiss Thalia.
And then she’s sitting in his class three times a week. Senior in college, remember?
It’s gonna be a fun and bumpy ride for these two.
Temptation and all.
Recommend.
The Hookup Equation was fantastic! I absolutely loved it. From Thalia and Caleb’s meet cute to the Botanic Gardens then finding out he’s her professor and longer being able to go on a date. Thalia always the good girl until mother nature calls. She’s smart, funny and sweet. Caleb is so caring, intelligent, witty and sexy. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved this story. Plenty of laugh out loud moments too. It’s well written with wonderful, genuine characters and a great romance.
Roxie Noir has released the fourth book in her popular series – The Loveless Brothers. Each of the books is a standalone so you can pick up at any point. I started the series by reading book three, Break the Rules, which was the story of Levi (my favorite bearded boyfriend) and June. Grab your coffee and let’s chat about The Hookup Equation.
Thalia and Caleb experienced a textbook meet cute and their first date was perfect. They shared a kiss that caused major fireworks! Only to find that Caleb is Dr. Loveless Thalia’s Calculus Professor. What a freaking let down. He cannot date a student or his new career will be over before it starts. Thalia cannot date a professor or she will lose her scholarship with one semester left. So why can’t they just walk away? Chemistry.
I am not a huge fan of student/professor romances but Roxie did a great job approaching this storyline. Like all of her books, the character development is superb and you will laugh more than you will cry. The Hookup Equation actually made me mad a few times as the characters needed a swat to the back of the head or a kick in the butt. My rating of The Hookup Equation by Roxie Noir – 4 out of 5 propellers.
The Loveless brothers keep getting hotter and HOTTER. I didn’t realize how eager I was for Caleb’s story until I started The Hookup Equation, and Thalia is Caleb’s perfect complement.
These two meet in such a fun way, and I felt the immediate connection between them. Not only did they have steamy physical chemistry, they also had a deeper, emotional connection. Their banter and teasing and quirkiness worked so well.
I was a little disappointed in the way things played out for them at one point in the story, but it was basically inevitable. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to give anything away, and obviously things work out in the end.
The Hookup Equation has humor, angst, a bit of mystery, smoking hot sexy times, excellent secondary characters, and of course, the Loveless brothers.
Next up, Seth?! Silas!? I don’t care. Just give me more.
***I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy generously provided by the author.***
ARC review For honest review. When Thalia is out with best friends harper, margaret, and Victoria at the tipsy cavalier Thalia takes a chance to be bad and finds herself trapped with Caleb loveless now fate is play it’s roles in their lives. Awesome story 10 stars.
We finally get Caleb’s story. It has been worth the wait. Thalia and Caleb have off the charts chemistry and great dialog. I found myself laughing out loud and some of the exchanges and having to take a cold shower after some of the others! There came a point in the book where I didn’t want to read anymore because I just knew something bad was going to happen and I just couldn’t stand that thought. But I finally did pick it back up because I couldn’t stand not knowing either! Don’t worry. I was glad I did and you will be too. All of these Loveless brothers and just dreamy! I’m sad that there is only one more brother to go. Maybe Silas will get a book too. (Please, Roxie. Please!)
I really must be honest and say that I wish there were 50 more Loveless brothers because I never want this series to end! With each new book I’m drawn into this family deeper and deeper and I’m totally emotionally attached. In this installment youngest brother and new professor, Caleb has definitely found his perfect match in the forbidden student, Thalia. I love everything about this book from their adorable first meeting to the heartfelt final scene at the end. Roxie Noir knows how to give you all the feels with just the right amount laughter and tears while lighting you on fire with the heat between the main characters. This is one of those times that I hate that I read so fast and that I’m leaving this world so quickly. I definitely recommend this book…actually I recommend this whole series!
really loved Caleb, he’s the youngest of the Loveless brothers and he’s funny, sexy, and a smile that could melt your panties and the way he and Thalia met was perfect. One night can make for all kinds of fun and the spark between them was instantaneous and wonderfully unexpected with promises made for another date only to find out the person you can’t seem to forget turns out to be your Professor. All you know is this can’t happen, there’s so much at stake for both of them. There’s no way they can take this any further, or is there? You can only be good for long, maybe it’s time to take a walk on the naughty side. I guess you have to read to find out what Caleb and Thalia decide to do. I received a copy of this book.
