Teach me everything. My whole life, I’ve been a good girl. I follow rules like nobody’s business. I obey guidelines like I was born to it. Show me a line, and I’ll toe it.I’m even a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Good is my middle name. And then, I break one tiny little rule. Miniscule. Inconsequential.Next thing I know, I’m trapped with an incredibly handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut … handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut emeralds, biceps that makes my head spin, and a smile that has me rethinking all my life choices.
We escape a bar bathroom together. We go on an impromptu date. We share the hottest kiss I’ve ever had, one that leaves me panting for more. We promise to see each other again.
Turns out, we see each other the next morning.
In my calculus class.
Which he’s teaching.
My handsome, sexy date is Professor Loveless, and we’ll be seeing each other plenty. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all semester.
There’s no choice but to call it off. We both have too much at stake: I could lose my scholarship, and he could lose his entire career.
But I can’t call off the way I feel.
I can’t call off the way he looks when he rolls up his sleeves and explains imaginary numbers.
I can’t call off the heated glances, or the way our hands touch when I hand in my homework, or the memory of his body pressing against mine that night.
I’m a virgin.
He’s my professor.
And if we give in, it could cost us both everything.
But I’m so tired of being a good girl.
The Hookup Equation is a complete standalone romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your glasses.

I really enjoyed this book and fell head over heels for Caleb. Prior to this I would have said that Levi was my favorite Loveless brother. I can no longer say that with authority- it may be a tie. This book has the first meet cute I have ever read in a men’s bathroom. I love how fast Caleb fell for Thalia. I really appreciated the emotional connection and relationship they built with each other at the beginning of their relationship. These two were in a tough situation. I probably would have handled it differently, but then the story would not be as good. This was a really good book and I can’t wait for Seth’s story.
It was a really emotional and wonderful read. It was intense and enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this book, this amazing series, and this author.
I loved “The Hookup Equation” by Roxie Noir. I’m not usually a fan of romances featuring forbidden relationships between professors and students, but the book description was very compelling, so I decided to give it a chance. I’m so happy I did because this book was well-written and engaging, and all of the characters were realistic and endearing. I was also a bit concerned because “The Hookup Equation” is the fourth book in a series and I hadn’t read any of the previous books prior to starting this one, but fortunately it reads as a complete standalone and I didn’t feel lost at all.
Based on the book’s description and the main characters’ hilarious first meeting in a bar bathroom, I was expecting a lighthearted and amusing story. It certainly did have its share of lighter moments, but there was also a tremendous amount of depth, well beyond what I would expect from a typical rom-com. The story deals with some very serious subjects in addition to the romance, including PTSD, drug addiction, tricky family dynamics, and choice/consent, among others. The result was a complex, emotionally layered story that gave me all the feels, and I had a difficult time putting the book down once I started reading.
I enjoyed the banter between main characters Caleb and Thalia, especially during their initial meeting in the bar bathroom. Thalia was endearingly awkward in her conversational efforts, and I was never quite sure what was going to come out of her mouth next! I also appreciated how hard they tried to resist their attraction after they found out about their classroom connection, but it seemed as if they stopped being careful pretty quickly after they finally gave into their feelings. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time, waiting for Thalia and Caleb to get caught, while at the same time hoping they wouldn’t because I could tell how much they genuinely cared for each other. Thankfully, they ended up in a good place, but their path to happiness was not an easy one.
Thalia and Caleb were wonderful lead characters, but I also enjoyed getting to know Caleb’s brothers and their significant others through their appearances as secondary characters in this story. I am very much looking forward to reading the earlier books in the series to get to know them better, as well as the next book in the series featuring Caleb’s brother Seth.

All of Caleb’s hard work is paying off and he is getting ready to start his teaching job but before that happens he finds himself meeting a woman he would like to spend more time with in the men’s bathroom but instead of it being awkward it turns into a fun and flirty exchange.
Thalia was raised in a conservative family and has always down what was expected of her, but her one walk on the wild side finds her locked in the men’s bathroom with a man that she would like to see again. She believes that they may have a future together until they find out that he is her teacher.
They know that being together could destroy his career and jeopardize her degree, so they take a step back. Their attempts to keep a distance between them works, until it doesn’t, and now two people whose lives dictate that they are wrong for each other must decide if the reward of being together is worth the risk.
I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Caleb and Thalia unfold as although they were teacher and student, they were older, and the age difference was modest. As a bonus we get to catch up with the other characters we know and love in this series.
I love Caleb & Thalia’s story! Caleb and Thalia had a fantastically funny meet-cute and a magical first date. Of course, when they realize Thalia is Caleb’s student the next day date, they both realize their interest in each other cannot go any further. This is the first of many angsty heart wrenching moments until their HEA.
This is my first book by Roxie Noir and my first Loveless book, but it won’t be my last. I now need to read the previous Loveless series and learn more about this clan.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was my first read by Roxie, a taboo student / professor read that I was looking forward to from reading the blurb, and it turned out to be quite a good read.
Thalia and Caleb meet in unusual circumstances at a bar, she needs the bathroom desperately having had a bit too much to drink. The queue for the ladies is long, and so slips into the mens instead. There she meets a hunk of a man who is surprised by the woman in the bathroom, where they end up being stuck with a broken door handle. This was cute and funny and they have an immediate connection and make arrangements to go on a date. It’s not until after this date, when they have gotten to know each other a bit more and liked what they found, having a heated kiss and make out session, that they find out that Caleb is actually her Maths Professor.
There are some choices to be made, and not easy ones!!
Lots of slow burn and lingering sexual tension in this one as they try and stay away from each other, but neither can forget that one date they had together. When it eventually proves too much to stay away they end up risking everything they have worked so hard for as they try to stay under the radar while anonymous emails start flying about the place accusing them of having an affair.
I enjoyed reading about the rest of the Loveless family and loved their support, friendship and camaraderie and would love to read more about them!
A good read overall, a little predictable in the outcome but I enjoyed their relationship.
The Hookup Equation by Roxie Noir is book 4 in the Loveless Brothers Series. This is the story of Caleb and Thalia.
This was a standalone book for me. Thalia and Caleb first meet by chance but it is a hot encounter. The next time they meet they quickly learn that their attraction can’t go anywhere…yet. Why…because Caleb turns out to be Thalia college professor. So Thalia can’t loose her chance at college and of course Caleb doesn’t want to loose his job. But they can’t seem to stop their feelings from taking over.
Loved this forbidden type romance…it was a fun read also.
Another Loveless Brother to love. I’ve read a few Professor/Student books recently and this one is my favorite by far! Caleb meets Thalia in the men’s room of a bar, of all places. Neither of them know who the other actually is. They immediately have a spark. But…..it can’t happen. Or can it? These two are both smart, funny, and hot, I love them together. As another reviewer said, Roxie Noir’s characters are real and so believable. I also love how all of her books have those laugh out loud moments woven in.
This was my first book by this author and holy crap. I loved this!! I immediately went and bought the first three in the series. The Loveless family is an absolute trip. Such a great group of people! Caleb and Thalia were perfect. They were funny and awkward and oh so sweet… But also crazy hot. I loved Thalia and Bastian also. Bastian? That’s a book I’d read.
Officially obsessed and ready for more.

Roxie Noir has done it again. I’ve loved most everything I’ve read from her and The Hookup Equation is no exception. Caleb and Thalia are well written, compelling characters who have a heated encounter in a bar, but discover the next day, he is her calculus professor. Whoops, so they called things off right away. Too bad attraction are stronger than common sense. The story is well written, moves quickly, and has all the feels. Great secondary characters who should get their own stories…soon?!? And, best of all, this book is free to read with your KU Subscription.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Another Loveless brothers bites the dust and what a way to go! Caleb is my favorite of the siblings, he is smart, sweet, hot and just plain perfect. His instant connection with Thalia made for some entertaining moments that will give you all the feels. A lot of drama and delicious loving gave their character growth that made them likable and relatable. A fabulous must read romance story that has heart and heat.
This was by far the best Loveless brother book that I have read. Thalia and Caleb accidentally meet when she goes into the men’s restroom by mistake. They go on a date only to discover the next morning that he is her professor and she is his student “can you say awkward.” Thalia and Caleb bother agree that they can’t see each other because it would be wrong and inappropriate. But the connection and chemistry that these two have is hot and is off the charts. They try to stay away from each other but they can’t because the temptation is to strong. Will they get caught by the university?? Will they give there relationship a chance?? Will they get there happily ever after??? This book will have you laughing and crying.

Wasn’t too sure about this book. The book starts with Caleb and Thalia meeting and sparks instantly fly, but before they even have the chance to start something, they find out that Caleb is her professor. Thalia, being the responsible good girl, knows she needs to stay away from him but can’t help it. Caleb feels the same way, where he knows but he can’t seems to stay away either. The storyline was somewhat cliché in the sense that it was a standard student-teacher troupe, but I felt that it sort of went on and could have been a shorter book. Nothing was too surprising in it and you could expect what came next. I did enjoy the parts about Thalia’s search for her brother as well as Caleb’s brother having a baby, but other than that it was a pretty standard book. While I did enjoy it, I wish it was shorter and more to the point. I also wish that I read the previous books in the series, so I could get a better understanding of Caleb before reading.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Caleb Loveless may be my favorite brother and The Hookup Equation may be my favorite book of this series. I loved everything about this book from the cover, to the characters, to the story.
Caleb and Thalia had an instant connection. They were both drawn to each other from the moment they met. They had a perfect night and a night they both hoped would lead to more. That is until Caleb discovers Thalia is his student. That connection they felt instantly becomes forbidden. It isn’t something they should continue; however, you can only fight the pull for so long.
I loved Caleb and Thalia so much. From their insane chemistry to their loved of lists, charts and just being organized. However, they come from different backgrounds. Caleb is the youngest of his family and he has grown to deal with being the baby, but also having the support of his older brothers. Thalia is from a strict Catholic family, she is the definition of a good girl….that is until Caleb.
Despite the risks, these two couldn’t stay away. They took the chance on each other and on their relationship. There is heat and many sweet moments throughout the story and plenty of the Loveless family.
The Hookup Equation is a MUST READ story will captivate you from the very start and will touch your heart.
Once again Roxie’s books have not disappointed. This family of boys have to reach a certain point before they find the one that they can’t ignore. Caleb met his in a bar and Thalia had no idea who this hunk was or what he did. And there lies the story. Entertaining to the max. A definite need to read but don’t stop there – catch up with the rest of the family.
OMG Caleb and Thalia’s story from page 1 till last page. Caleb is a professor at the university where Thalia is a senior, They had a instant connection, Total recommend it, Another great read by Roxie Noir
I loved this book! This is Caleb’s story, the youngest of the Loveless Brothers. Caleb and Thalia in a men’s room and get locked in together. The attraction and chemistry between the two is instantaneous and palpable. They say they will see each other again, then it turns out that Caleb is her professor and she his student. I loved everything about this book, from start to finish it was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend it.
Caleb is the perfect Loveless brother and his connection to Thalia, makes this a fantastic story to read! This student/teacher story is heart melting and heart wrenching at the same time. The characters in this series are so real, they are like your next door neighbors that invite you to join in their journey. Another winner for Roxie Noir. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
I have been loving the Loveless Brothers since the beginning and I was wondering what type of story Caleb would get and I am pleased to say that I really liked The Hookup Equation! Caleb is our baby of the Loveless brothers but he’s no baby at 28. He’s now working as an Assistant Professor at his alma mater and that really surprised me because in getting to know his character in previous books, this seemed like too structured of an environment for him. The story begins with an undergrad named Thalia and a long line for the ladies room. She did what most of us think about doing but never have the guts to do and heads into the empty men’s room stall. Enter one Caleb Loveless and a broken bathroom lock and you have one of the funniest meet cutes ever! By the time Caleb and Thalia discover that she is a senior and a student and he is her professor it is almost too late, they are both interested but they both do the adult thing and decide not to get involved. However, we all know that the heart wants what the heart wants no matter the repercussions. I really enjoyed seeing these two fight the inevitable and their banter was great!. The Hookup Equation is told from dual POV and has more Loveless family interaction and lots of laughs, heat, a bit of heartache and stands on it’s own. I do recommend the other books in this series so if you haven’t read them check them out.
