Teach me everything. My whole life, I’ve been a good girl. I follow rules like nobody’s business. I obey guidelines like I was born to it. Show me a line, and I’ll toe it.I’m even a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Good is my middle name. And then, I break one tiny little rule. Miniscule. Inconsequential.Next thing I know, I’m trapped with an incredibly handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut … handsome stranger. He’s got eyes like cut emeralds, biceps that makes my head spin, and a smile that has me rethinking all my life choices.
We escape a bar bathroom together. We go on an impromptu date. We share the hottest kiss I’ve ever had, one that leaves me panting for more. We promise to see each other again.
Turns out, we see each other the next morning.
In my calculus class.
Which he’s teaching.
My handsome, sexy date is Professor Loveless, and we’ll be seeing each other plenty. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all semester.
There’s no choice but to call it off. We both have too much at stake: I could lose my scholarship, and he could lose his entire career.
But I can’t call off the way I feel.
I can’t call off the way he looks when he rolls up his sleeves and explains imaginary numbers.
I can’t call off the heated glances, or the way our hands touch when I hand in my homework, or the memory of his body pressing against mine that night.
I’m a virgin.
He’s my professor.
And if we give in, it could cost us both everything.
But I’m so tired of being a good girl.
The Hookup Equation is a complete standalone romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your glasses.

Another must read in the Loveless brothers series!
I absolutely loved The Hookup Equation, Caleb and Thalia’s story may be unconventional (Student/Professor) to many on lookers in this book but it doesn’t make it any less real, the love and chemistry between them is page turning I literally couldn’t put it down.
It’s a great read with funny, witty and passionate moments that will have you laughing and swooning at the same time.
This series has been amazing and I can’t wait for more of these amazing characters that Roxie has created…bravo to a wonderful author who’s writing I can’t get enough of!
f: Thalia (22)
m: Caleb (28)
(Dual POVs)
The first time these two meet is both funny and awkward but you’d never know with how deep and intimate their night turns out to be! These two hit it off really well and are just so smitten with each other! I thought they were absolutely adorable together, even after they find out that they are professor/ student.
Caleb is hands down the sweetest Loveless brother thus far! He tries to do the right thing after finding out that he is Thalia’s professor, but the second he discovers that she’s in a similar situation that he’s had to face in the past, all sense of rhyme and reason are tossed out the window so that he can help her and comfort her. He understands her pain and the little gestures he does to try to make it a little more bearable are just so heartwarming and compassionate. Chivalrous needs to be Caleb’s middle name because, damn this man is such a gentleman! I’ve never seen a man put in so much effort into making things go as smoothly and comfortable as possible as well as making sure he had verbal consent! And don’t even get me started about how selfless he is!
I really connected with Thalia at times, and my heart just completely broke for her. I was thankful for her playful banter with her brother Bastien as it did provide a little bit of comedic relief in her otherwise stressful life. I felt like this book had a more serious undertone to it than the previous books in the series. I didn’t think we got as much of the other Loveless brothers in this book, so I did miss some of the Loveless family humor. We do get a lot of Seth in Caleb’s book which I’m assuming was done on purpose to prepare for Seth’s book next!

I received a free copy of the steamy full length novel The Hookup Equation: A Professor / Student Romance (Loveless Brothers Book 4): Caleb and Thalia by Roxie Noir and this review was given freely.
Full of family and college drama, off color humor and intense intimate scenes, this is an instant attraction taboo virgin/ professor romance that thrives despite Thalia’s judgmental father, an email blackmailer, and interference by the nosy close knit loveless family. Contains the underlying themes of drug dependence, sexual misconduct and hiding a gay proclivity but ends happily.
Rule following straight A college senior Thalia has a surprise drunken bar bathroom encounter followed by a magical date only to later learn her mystery man is her Virginia Southern University calculus professor Caleb Loveless PHD.
18+ for intimate scenes.

My Review:
Roxie Noir is a recent find for me and I enjoy indulging in her special brand of irreverent humor and super-steamy delights. In both of her books I’ve read so far, she has also provided several entertaining and unpredictable storylines populated with uniquely endearing and oddly appealing characters and armed them with clever banter, profound insightfulness, and compelling issues. I started in the middle but have definitely been grooving on this series while kicking myself for being late to the party. I have some catching up to do.
Caleb and Thalia have chemistry galore. But the next morning when the realise the connection, they know they can’t continue. A great student/teacher romance. Highly recommend!!
4 stars for The Hookup Equation by Roxie Noir. This is book four in the Loveless series. This is a sexy forbidden student/teacher romance. Thalia has always been a good girl, now things have changed for her. Caleb seems to be perfect for Thalia. They have an instant connection and chemistry that jumps off the pages. The only problem is Caleb is Thalia’s professor. The taboo aspect is what drew me in, but the love between them kept me there. “Anxiety is a kind of fear. Excitement is a kind of happiness. Close but different, mirror reflections of one another.” If you love taboo romances that are sweet and an easy read, then this is a book for you.
An amazing, hilarious, and captivating read that drew me in from page one. The story-line is flawless, consistent, emotionally deep, funny, witty, engaging, fast pace, and very interesting. Loveable characters – they are real and perfect for each other! This is a book not to miss and I definitely recommend it!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lordy lordy lordy, I love hot teacher, student forbidden love, and thankfully I can add this one to the list. These Loveless brothers are so not loveless, because I personally love them (yeah I know I know that was lame) but anywho, I had fun reading this hot, sweet story..So my friends grab a copy and Enjoy! because you will
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author…voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
OMG!! Holy smoke balls Batman!! 10 star read. Caleb and Thalia equals 10. How’s that for math. It’s laugh out loud funny with sexy fun times included. The sexy fun times will burn your house down. Should come with a caution to proceed. Roxie Noir outdid herself. I love the Loveless brother’s series. Can’t wait for Seth. Favorite quote is Seth asking Caleb “Hey Caleb, how’s Thalia?” “How’s her grades?” “She still getting the D?” Like I said laugh out loud funny. It’s told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a hea. I highly recommend this book
Roxie Noir rocks! I love these Loveless brothers! I know the book is marketed as a standalone, but I would encourage all to start at the beginning of this crazy family saga. Caleb Loveless’ story is written to perfection in regards to the taboo swirl of professors and students getting involved. This story is not creepy nor will you be turned off by the situation. It is written with the care and grace the situation deserves. I can imagine this happening to folks on a college campus today. Sprinkle in the opinions of the brothers and their better halves as well as the niece and family friend and you have the right kind of humor to spin the tale.
I honestly have not read anything that I have not enjoyed by Roxie Noir. I look forward to her new releases each time. I highly recommend everyone give Roxie and her Loveless brothers a shot!
The Hook Up Equation by Roxie Noir
Thalia is a beautiful, young college student out with her girls for a night of fun and drinks. Of course eventually nature calls and sends her in a long line at the ladies room. Deciding that waiting is not going to work, she ducks into the men’s room. As she is about to leave, a sexy man walks right in. Hello Caleb! Conversation happens, flirting happens, a broken door lock happens!! After some escaping out a window, they decide to go out for an awesome, sexy date. Waking up happy about her previous night, Thalia attends her first day of classes and finds her Calculus professor is her handsome date from last night. Can they fight their attraction? Can they keep their relationship purely platonic? I think you all know how this unfolds, but its so worth it. This story is romantic, sexy, flirty, fun, and all too real. I love how the author dove into both Caleb and Thalia’s family dynamics. Their backstories were dramatic and powerful. Their situation’s are all too common in today’s society. I would definitely read this again.
*Available on kindle unlimited* *Author provided bonus at end* *This book has a HEA with all the feels!!!!
This was okay for me, but not my favorite book of the series. The writing wasn’t bad, but I felt like it could have been shortened a lot. It just seemed to have scenes that didn’t progress the story at all, and had no purpose to the story. As others have said, it was predictable in the sense that you knew they were going to get caught, but I did like the way Caleb handled it all. Caleb and Thalia were good together, and I thought they had great chemistry. I liked getting the updates on the other Loveless brothers, and I can’t wait to see what happens with Seth.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Really enjoyed this fun and exciting adventure filled with engaging and exciting charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion…. highly entertaining! Really enjoyed this exciting journey from beginning to end!
My first read by this author. I loved it! A little forbidden, a whole lot of steamy, swoony sweet, and a lot of fun. I flew through the pages loving the journey that Thalia and Caleb took me on.
Thalia is super smart, gorgeous, and isn’t afraid to tell you how it is. She’s in her last year of college and has the world in front of her. But its turned on its axis when a sweet talking, sexy, smart charmer comes into her life in the most random of ways.
Caleb is starting off his position at work with an amazing start. He has so many possibilities in front of him. He never expected to meet this enthralling woman who interests him on every level. And he didn’t expect her to now be his student.
This read was super fun and I can’t wait to read more from Roxie Noir!
This was a really well written and entertaining book. Thalia, Margaret, Veronica, and Hailey were the kind of friends everyone wishes they had – there was a real vibe between them, entertaining banter, and laughs. Caleb was equally as awesome, although nobody should love math that much (hahaha).
The relationship between Thalia and Caleb was well written and realistic. I’ll be singing the praises of this book for a while. I highly recommend reading it.
This is the 4th Loveless book. It is Caleb and Thalia’s story. These two were magical together. Caleb is a new assistant professor and is out one night when he meets Thalia. Thalia is an undergrad in her final year and is out with her friends. The connection these two have is instant. Thalia is somewhat clumsy when it comes to flirting which makes her more endearing. Caleb is all alpha and a Loveless brother which gives him an edge. The next day they find out that Caleb is Thalia’s new professor. They realize they can’t be together. It works for awhile, but during their time apart, it becomes harder and harder to deny their attraction. There is some suspense in the form of emails and drama. The connection these two share is strong, but it could snap at any point. The chemistry is off the charts hot. You will be rooting for them and also want to smack some sense into them also. I loved this forbidden story and the characters. Of course, you get to see the other brothers that will make you laugh. I was hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. You don’t need to read the others before this one, but you will get more enjoyment out of it if you do. If you read this one, you will want to read the others.
Thalia and Caleb have such an immediate connection, brought together in one of the cutest, funniest meet cutes, ever, and it’s all good. Too bad she walks into class later and finds out he’s her new professor. Yeah…
I freaking love professor romances, all the forbiddenness of it, the delicious naughtiness of it, but when you add in the cute factor of a rom com, it’s even better. Caleb and Thalia are such a great couple, I loved their chemistry, their sweet moments, and his large family and circle of friends. About the only thing that could have made this one better is if Caleb’s ending were a bit more definitive. I wanted to know the direction his life was heading, but it might appear in the next story, if there is one. The Loveless Brothers have been amazing so far, I can’t wait for Seth’s story, I hope it’s next!
Student/Teacher tropes are my jam. So it comes as no surprise that I really enjoyed this book! Roxie Noir wrote it with ease! One of the more remarkable things though is that this book is a total ROMCOM as well! I honestly wasn’t sure how it would work as usually student/teacher romances are extremely angsty, but she ROCKED it! I am so thrilled for this because honestly, it makes me want to go back and read all her books. I imagine they are just as unique as this one.
Now, while this book is funny, there are moments of angst- it’s just not the entire story! As with any forbidden relationship, the chances of getting caught and loosing important things is a risk. This risk is taken quite seriously by both the hero and heroine and you can almost feel the internal struggle. Sometimes though, the risk is worth it!
If you’re looking for a fun novel with a forbidden tone then you won’t want to miss this one! I can’t wait to read more of the authors novels based on this one alone.
Another Loveless brother charms his way to number one!!
I do not know how it’s possible, but every book I find myself saying ‘this brother, this is the one I adore’.
So, as I write my review for Caleb; the baby brother Loveless, the professor; I, right now, am saying he’s currently in the lead as my favorite Loveless.
He’s bumped Levi to second place.
Although Thalia is pretty awesome. And I haven’t ranked the ladies. I really relate to her late blooming ways. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
Thalia finds herself inadvertently still a virgin and about to graduate college. Not that it’s been a major concern. Thus the inadvertent part. But then a rash decision to use the men’s room leads to her meeting Caleb…
And a little adventure with a man she has sizzling chemistry with.
Only to discover he’s her professor the next day. Neither of them can resist the pull of their attraction to each other (and they do try). And unfortunately for them, despite trying to be discreet, (and they do try) others are not so concerned with what Caleb & Thalia actually feel or are doing.
She knows her own mind. Does not need to be sheltered or protected. He is not a predator. They both beat themselves up enough for the problems their attraction may, does cause. They certainly don’t need anyone else making decisions for them.
He drops everything to help her when he barely knows her. Maybe not the wisest choice, but definitely the choice made with his heart before he knew what his heart was feeling.
I love the Loveless family’s interactions with each other and others. Their families and friends. I loved seeing Thalia and her siblings. I still want a Silas book!!
Floved every single page. I adore this bookiverse.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book gives us insight into the life of Caleb, who is one of the quieter and (up until now) less understood brothers of the Loveless clan. While we do see him reveling in numbers, as he has many times before, we also learn more about other facets of his personality, his feelings and motivations, as well as some secrets that he keeps.
Thalia is an adoreable addition to this crazy clan! And she fits right in, once she’s given a chance to do so.
Their meet-cute is definitely unique, and their first “date” just as much so. But both of them have a delightful time and are totally smitten with the other. And this when each normally has hard time finding someone who fits well with them.
And then… everything comes to a screeching halt the very next morning when Thalia walks into her calculus class — only to discover that her dream date from the night before is her teacher. As sad as they both are by this turn of events, they do try at first to be good and maintain just a professional relationship. But both of them are miserable with this situation. Then comes an opportunity for Caleb to be a real friend to Thalia, where he helps her with a situation that has serious meaning for him as well. Even then, they could have still avoided each other and bypassed the position that they later find themselves in. But that wouldn’t have made for much of a story.
As it is, there’s quite a bit of turmoil and angst that occurs. But the relationship that is developing between Caleb and Thalia while it is all going down is a truly special one. We also get extended glimpses of his family, and it is so fun to revisit things with all of them and catchup on their lives. (Although it is somewhat troubling to see the direction that Seth is going and think of the heartbreak that might be ahead for him!) It is also interesting to meet Thalia’s family, particularly her brothers Bastien and Javier, especially when they finally get introduced to some of the Loveless clan. (I really hope that they and Silas all make repeat appearances in the next volume of the series so that we can learn what becomes of them.)
Ultimately, while it was still undeniably good, I did not like this volume nearly as much as the prior three in the set. Mostly due to how much angst was involved here from a number of different fronts, especially how things turn out for Caleb in the end. While I’m glad that he and Thalia get their happily-ever-after, I was highly disappointed at the way that transpired.
