This holiday season, practical and rational Anna Bell will do anything to save her family’s mini-mart from going under in her small beach town known for its traditions. But with all of the debt and bill collectors her dad accumulated before his passing, she’s aware her mom may have to sell to the buyer who has just made an offer.Impetuous and optimistic Peter Locke is known as the new billionaire … billionaire in town who is buying up failing businesses, presumably to inject them with “new life” and turn them around for a quick profit. When Anna discovers Peter is the buyer who made an offer on the Main Street Mini-Mart, she’s determined to convince him that keeping with tradition is the way to go so he doesn’t make changes to all her dad built with such love and care.
Spending time with Peter gives Anna the first feelings of comfort and joy since her dad passed. And she has to admit the changes he makes to the Christmas lighting ceremony are positively delightful. In fact, his enthusiasm and warmth soon has Anna falling head over heels for him. As their relationship blossoms, Anna worries he’ll learn her initial motivation for spending time with him was to help her family’s business.
Will Peter discover the truth about Anna and walk away from her? Or will the magic of Christmas give them both the best gift of all: love?

This is a wonderful short Blue Moon Bay Christmas season story focusing on Peter Locke, a wealthy investor buying up struggling properties and turning them into profitable businesses, and Anna Bell who is attempting to keep her mini mart solvent without making changes to her deceased father’s business. Peter and Anna’s romance is not always smooth with secrets and disagreements occurring. Will love win out? Buy the book and find out! I strongly recommend Susan’s Hatler’s little book of Christmas cheer and love.

Anna and Peter are similar in experiences but, their way to deal with them are completely different. Anna is holding on to traditions and the past as Peter tries to make the most out of life with moving forward and changing things up a bit. This is a charming romance that seems doomed but with some clarity, a myth and a forever love these two get a happy ending. A wonderful romance with a Christmas backdrop that renews your spirit.

I liked this holiday themed romance. I enjoyed the romance that bloomed between Anna and Peter and I felt that they made a cute couple. The storyline was emotional and had some drama but was also quite fun and easy to read.
I loved this book. It showed what Christmas is all about. When everything came crashing down on Anna and her family, there was Santa to fix everything. Anna and Peter had a lot in common with both of their fathers passing away and leaving them with many memories to share.
I can not wait to read more Christmas books by Susan Hatler.

Peter seems like decent guy but Anna doesn’t see this as she is trying to save her families mini-mart. While he does his best to assure her Anna is extremely stubborn. They both try to fight their attraction as well.
Will Peter be the one she loves to hate?
Short & sweet.

This was a nice holiday romance. The main characters (Peter & Anna) had wonderful depth, and the history behind their behaviors was completely understandable. Both were coping with loss, but in very different ways. The emotionality of this book was phenomenal.
Peter, having recently lost his father, decided to slow down and enjoy life in a small coastal town. Seeking to help and improve the economy of the lovely town, he bought many properties in a development plan. One property was the mini-mart owned by Anna’s family.
Anna returned home following her father’s sudden death to help the family. She met Peter and found out HE was the buyer. Wanting to convince him to leave the store as it was, she starts spending time with him, stressing tradition. She never planned on caring for him, let alone falling in love.
When Anna’s initial intensions become known, Peter is hurt. Feeling used, especially when Anna ghosts him, he proceeds with improvements. Will Anna realize there was more to her memories of her father than just the store? Can she move past her loss and embrace a future? Even if she can, would Peter ever forgive her?
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest, unbias review.
A sweet holiday romance. Anna comes back to her small hometown after the death of her father, to help her brother and mother run their family Mini Mart. But the business isn’t doing well, and her mother has a chance to sell the business to a new man in town. Young and wealthy Peter, who is buying up businesses and bringing them back to life. But Anna is afraid he will turn her family store into a tourist trap and she will lose the connection to her dad. She and Peter made an instant connection when they met, but if she can’t convince Peter to keep the store as it is, will their romance die? But changes have to be made for the store to survive, so can Anna learn to trust Peter, and that all changes aren’t bad. A Kiss For Santa – book 8 in the series “Kissed by the Bay”. Are you looking for a short read for Christmas in July ? If so this may be the right book for it. I read it in just a few hours . It is a light read with only 108 pages . There is no sex involved even though it is a love story. Only a few kisses .
It can also be read as a standalone and you not be lost. This is my first book by this author and was a very , very short read. Maybe had the book been longer and there been better character development the story would have been better. I failed to connect to any of the characters who live there. The chemistry between the main two characters just was not there either. Everything just felt rushed and flat.
I did however love the cute little seaside town. The legend of the kiss is also a great touch to the book. I will try some of the authors other books to see if i like them better. This would make a better read for a middle school kid than an adult. Sorry but this was barley a 3 star read for me.
