A quick easy read. Beckett is an assassin for hire called in to kill Lily, the daughter of a deceased billionaire. There’s an immediate sexual attraction between the two that neither can explain. Even knowing Beckett was there to do a job, there was something telling him it was wrong. It was enough for a small break with a bit of naughty thrown in.
The storyline definitely got my attention at the very beginning kept me interested in the twist and turns along with the challenges did not see coming.
She would trade all her wealth for just one more day with her father but it is not possible. He is a hired killer and a vampire and he kills only those who are the worst of the worst. He is sent to kill her but something is off. He cannot kill her. Why? See why not

This is a very short story that should take about an hour to read. There’re little tidbits of history of both the vampire and the female human he falls in love with but most of the story is set in the here and now. It’s a sweet story-line with realistic dialogue between the characters, the main two characters are loveable! A wonderful short read can’t wait for part 2 which I hope is as entertaining as this part 1 was. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It started out with good potential, but then, it was like a ‘wham bam, thank ma’am’ kinda story, which left me scratching my head. Lily’s character was expanded out more than Beckett but only just. If you want an extremely short read, then this book is one for you.
