Vivid people and places held me captive throughout the book. Didn’t want to put it down till I was done. You know how it has to end, after all, but then…does it?
Loved Corrag and her courage and kindness. She deserved a better life. The ignorance and superstition of the day made it so dangerous for strong, intelligent women. I was so glad when I reached the ending.
The first two chapters try so hard to be mysterious and haunting that I will waste no further time with this book. It really annoys me to spend any money on this kind of fantasy. How can anyone think it is good?
