From the New York Times bestselling author of The Weekenders comes a delightful new novel about new love, old secrets, and the kind of friendship that transcends generations. When ninety-nine-year-old heiress Josephine Bettendorf Warrick summons Brooke Trappnell to Talisa Island, her 20,000 acre remote barrier island home, Brooke is puzzled. Everybody in the South has heard about the eccentric … has heard about the eccentric millionaire mistress of Talisa, but Brooke has never met her. Josephine’s cryptic note says she wants to discuss an important legal matter with Brooke, who is an attorney, but Brooke knows that Mrs. Warrick has long been a client of a prestigious Atlanta law firm.
Over a few meetings, the ailing Josephine spins a tale of old friendships, secrets, betrayal and a long-unsolved murder. She tells Brooke she is hiring her for two reasons: to protect her island and legacy from those who would despoil her land, and secondly, to help her make amends with the heirs of the long dead women who were her closest friends, the girls of The High Tide Club–so named because of their youthful skinny dipping escapades–Millie, Ruth and Varina. When Josephine dies with her secrets intact, Brooke is charged with contacting Josephine’s friends’ descendants and bringing them together on Talisa for a reunion of women who’ve actually never met.
The High Tide Club is Mary Kay Andrews at her Queen of the Beach Reads best, a compelling and witty tale of romance thwarted, friendships renewed, justice delivered, and true love found.

Absolutely loved this!
I loved this book. The story kept my attention and kept me reading at times when I should have been doing other things. Loved the characters and enjoy stories set in the Low Country. I will surely read more books by this author!

Great characters and story line
great beach read
As always a heartwarming story with characters you love and hate when the story ends! A few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and that’s hard to do to me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
What a wonderful summer read! MKA really keeps you coming back for more.
Liked her earlier books much better.
Super good book! Keeps you wanting to turn the pages and move on to what’s next. Interesting characters -highly recommend.
A very good read!

Loved this!!!
Loved it. Great characters. Fast paced. Highly recommend!
I always love MKA Books. I try to make sure I read each new release every summer. This might be my favorite and that’s saying a lot as she is one of my favorite authors. These characters and this story are sticking with me. I took a minute to get into this book, but once I did, I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading. The story had me so fascinated and I was so in love with the characters, past and present. MKA outdid herself with this one. Not only did she deliver her usual southern sass with her female characters that I love, but this story also came with some history and mystery. I loved the different turn she took with this one. I did not want it to end. When it did, I kept looking for more story. I wanted more pages and more words. I was not ready to stop reading the story of the High Tide Club women. I highly recommend this one.
This story had more twist and turns than these mountain roads I travel daily. Absolutely loved it!
Kept me guessing till the end always enjoy this author
I always enjoy Mary Kay books!
Somewhat different than her usual books, which I also enjoy. This one was more serious and hard a fairly complicated plot. Andrews did a great job of relating the past to the present. Positive, heart warming ending.
This was a very good book, with a wonderful cast of characters. It was NEVER predictable! Wonderful plot and a surprise at the end! I hope the author will use this as a start to a line series of books with this cast of characters.
I keep hoping for the wit and charm of Andrews’ first titles. Not happening. I am done.
