For anyone who’s ever been on the receiving end of an unsolicited dick pic… one scam artist and troll at a time, and I sometimes bend a few rules to get justice done.
He’s a military man with abs of glory, sworn to uphold the letter of the law no matter its shortcomings. And if he’d known who—or what—I was, I doubt he would’ve banged me at my best friend’s wedding reception.
Or come back for more.
Which is why he’s now the only thing standing between me and one very pissed off internet troll who’s figured out where I live.
I’m pretty sure he’ll get me out of this alive—and quite satisfied, thank you very much—but I’m also pretty sure this mission will end with me in handcuffs.
And not the good kind of handcuffs.
The Hero and the Hacktivist is a romping fun SEAL / Best Friend’s Brother / Robin Hood in Cyberspace romance between a meathead and an heiress, complete with epic klutziness, terrible leg warmers, and an even worse phone virus gone wrong. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a fabulously fun happily ever after.

A$$ of Glory. ‘Nuff said. Everything Miss Grant writes is a must-read.
Pippa Grant writes really funny sexy books, but I think this one might be her best yet!! Don’t miss it!
Crazy love
When two people who crave chaos find each other, the whole world goes mad! And it’s a wonderful thing. Zany, madcap, just down right laugh out loud hilarity is the name of the game for Rhett and Eloise. Not to mention the rest of the gang, who shine brightly as bit players in Eloise’s insanity.
But once again, it’s the emotional moments that set Pippa Grant apart from the crowd. Those moments that Rhett and Eloise show each other that are sweet and charming. Wonderfully escapist read!
All of Pippa Grant’s books i have read so far are amazing!!! They are laugh out loud funny characters with great stories, and I love how the books intertwine but can still be read as stand alone. I recommend all of her books to anyone who wants a good laugh and a great story.
Eloise and Rhett are one of my favorite funny book couples. Right from the start I was laughing out loud, but I was also drawn into the passion and dedication that they both have everything they put an effort into. I had so many favorite lines in this book, so many LOL moments, just so many of everything it’s easy to say I loved The Hero and the Hacktivist.
Rhett Elliott, an American hero SEAL, also known as Parker’s brother and now Knox’s brother-in-law (which up until now their story has been my favorite Pippa Grant book-check it out if you haven’t-it’s hilarious and oh so good!). Like a good brother, Rhett is attending their wedding when he is propositioned by Eloise, Parker’s bandmate and current bridesmaid. The moment is hilarious and I found myself snort-laughing through the entire “seduction”. I fell in instalove with both characters right out of the socially awkward-passion filled gate. The story barely begins, we have an instant connection, but Eloise never goes back for more after she’s had a taste and no matter what she does to shake Rhett for most of the book, for very good reason, he sticks around. She fights justice in her own way, but it unfortunately it puts a target on her back for some very bad people to come after her. It’s a good thing a certain SEAL can’t seem to get over her quirkiness, nor get over his huge…ego or hero complex when it comes to helping people even when they don’t want it.
Eloise and Rhett appear like opposites when you see them together, but they are more alike than anyone would have ever realized as they spend more time together. Can two heroes who fight for justice work together when they fight in very different ways?
WHOA BABY! First, this is by Pippa Grant, so you know you are going to be laughing until you pee your pants. Second, you know there is going to be lots of action. Third, well you will just have to read to find out what I’m talking about.
When you are feeling a little out of sorts and need a great laugh, read a Pippa Grant book, they will ALWAYS make you laugh.
Rhett and Eloise are to say the most opposite couple, until you get to know them better. OH my what a ride this book is, snarky comments, wild sex, and some mafia, human trafficking and you have the recipe for success!!!
10 Super Stars!!
I’m a new Pippa fan, all of her books make me smile and giggle. I binged on all of her books just a couple of weeks ago. My mom even binged on them too! I’m a huge fan of Eloise. I love her character so much I wasn’t sure if Rhett could keep up with her. Boy did he ever. These two are so fantastic together. So entertaining and so much laughter. All these characters, I just love them all and I can’t get enough.
As always – Pippa wrote the funniest emotional book. I have no idea how she writes characters that pull at my heart strings so much – yet the story is so over the top funny and unbelievable. Eloise doesn’t let anyone close – except her girlfriends, who she still keeps at a distance. Rhett doesn’t let anyone close because he is always leaving for Seal missions. Two unlikely people that have a connection from the beginning. Both trying to stay away but can’t. The comedy factor in this book is amazing. I laughed out loud so many times! Please please read this book. Everything Pippa writes is like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
Fans of Pippa Grant won’t want to miss this!
True to her style, Pippa Grant has once again delivered a crazy, laugh out loud rom-com. Both the hero and heroine have flaws, with the major one being their trust issues when it comes to others in their life. They’re afraid of being hurt, so they find mechanisms to hide their insecurities.
Extremelly funny moments, inventive language, steamy scenes and a HEA, not to mention the cameo appearance of several known characters from previous books, as well as the introduction of new characters, whom I hope will get their own books!!!!
*Warning* Start reading early, if you want to finish it before bedtime. And as always with Pippa’s books, DON’T eat or drink during reading 😉
Pippa Grant is such an interesting writer. (that is pc for “this woman has a screw loose, in the most delightful and entertaining way”) Where she comes up with her scenes and dialogue is beyond me. She keeps me in stitches, I just love her books.
Love this book. A great read with wonderfully developed characters. Witty, funny and an HEA.
Pippa Grant is a mastermind of words. Rhett and Eloise’s story was fun, if not a little unconventional. I love all the characters and the plot sure was entertaining. As always, I can’t wait for the next book!
The Hero and the Hacktivist is a story of two heroes and their unlikely attraction.
While Rhett is the quintessential hero – Navy SEAL, Eloise is the non-traditional warrior – an ethical (not always legal) hacker. They are both saving the world but with very different means and justifications.
If you like crazy, hilarious, laugh out loud and steamy romance with a bit of suspense and guaranteed HEA, this book is definitely for you!
I loved Willow and Dax in ROCKAWAY BRIDE but guess what??? They’ve been knocked off their perch as my favourite couple in Pippa Grant World because Rhett and Eloise now hold the title! I know! I too am somewhat in shock.
THE HERO AND THE HACKTIVIST was just so much fun. In addition to my usual snort-laughing when reading one of Pippa’s books, I also found myself cackling and sniggering at the sheer cunning of Eloise Jayne. She is devious, clever, outrageous, intense, and intelligent. She’s got a keen sense for social justice and plays superhero in her own way to right the wrongs of society. She’s got a mouth on her that often gets her into trouble, yet underneath this tough outer shell, Eloise is pure marshmallow. There’s a vulnerability and softness to her that I wanted to protect. But since I cannot do this Rhett was there to save the day.
Our hero Rhett may be the middle child in the Elliott clan but he is no shrinking violet. He’s a SEAL. He’s tough, he’s disciplined and inclined to follow the law unlike some people he might know… cough… Eloise… cough. He’s been forced to take a step back from his career and while he sorts out his life, he finds himself in a position to save Eloise – both from bad people and herself.
Rhett and Eloise were fabulous together. They may be poles apart physically and personality wise, but they just clicked. Eloise lives to push Rhett’s buttons and he in turns give as good as he gets. They’re smitten and intrigued with each other. The chemistry between them is explosive, and, forced to spend time together, they learn that maybe they do have some things in common.
Fans of previous books will rejoice because there are plenty of appearances by previous characters.
As 2018 is slowly drawing to a close, I am beginning to consider what some of my top reads for this year are. Without a doubt Pippa holds the #1 spot for comedy.
Here’s to the Tatted Goddess and the Ass of Glory!
I love these two. I love the secrets and the sarcasm. Who knew twizzlers could be sexy? They are the oddest pair that are so perfect for eachother. Loved – loved – loved this book.
This book brings the laughs and all the innuendos that you could ask for. I’ve never read so many different ways to call certain body parts, many I plan on working into my everyday vocabulary. Pippa Grant has a knack for creating creative words that can be said in conversation without being crude.
Eloise is an absolute hoot. She’s a little quirky and I’m all for that. Eloise is a modern day Robin Hood using the internet for good and avenging those hurt by the disgusting keyboard warriors that are out in the world. Rhett is the perfect match for Eloise. He grew up with rowdy sibling and thrives in that kind of environment. And him being a Navy Seal is the perfect career for him since he’s a natural born protector.
I did listen to the audiobook version of this story. Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell are two of my favorite narrators. They both did an amazing job. I loved hearing Teddy as a little more gruffer and Maxine a little more fast paced to bring Eloise’s wackiness to life. She’s so good at bring all the emotions from a tough story to life. I loved hearing narrate a more lighthearted character.
All of Pippa’s books are great!
*4.5 stars*
Bold characters, laugh out loud rom-com….
I couldn’t wait for more antics from my favourite all-girl, boy band, cover band! That’s a mouthful but so were these stories. If they were meant to make me laugh out loud (A LOT!) well goal met because I think I’m still giggling from the last story. And I knew Eloise was only going to make me laugh more…
Eloise was an in your face character that screamed ‘girl power’. She was wickedly smart, smart-mouthed and bold in a way that yelled ‘take me the way I am/take me’. LOL – she was not shy about stating her wants and desires even if she pinged on the edge of ‘too much’ at times. A smoke screen, a defensive façade, a person who lived life as honestly as she could, that honesty was her hallmark and it was fantastic! Rhett may have gotten lost in the shadow of such a vivid character but instead he brought his own unique foibles and strengths to the story. And together? Well, they fit perfectly… Fab read!

So very funny!
Eloise just makes this book. Her personality and musings are hysterical. And seeing her interact with Rhett was hilarious.
Loved this book!
Good, fun read. Not my favorite in this series but definitely worth the time. As always, laugh-out-loud, romance and this one has a little danger with a twist. This is an opposite attract story. All these books are worth the read. The audiobook is entertaining too.
