“Everything inside him ached for Claira in a way that was completely unfair to the memory of his wife.” ~ Grey McLendonSix years after losing their wife, the McLendon brothers are focused on running Falcon Ridge, and raising their rambunctious twin boys. They’ve never believed they could find another woman who could love them all. When Matt and his twin, Mason, meet their sons’ classy new teacher, … meet their sons’ classy new teacher, hope and love aren’t the only things that spring back to life. Matt is convinced she was Heaven sent to heal their family. Mason hopes he’s right, but knows they have a bigger problem than convincing Claira to take a chance on their unconventional family; a much bigger, surly, older brother kind of problem.
After losing their wife, Grey McLendon planned to live the rest of his life comfortably numb from the neck down, even if it killed him…and it just might if he can’t reconcile his guilt, and desire for Claira, before her treacherous past catches up with her.
Three hearts beat as one, for one. Always.

Wow! Hot Hot,Hot! A menage romance with a good plot and characters.
As a reader I grew to love the McLendon men! Their being able to rise above tragedy and grief made me need a tissue in one moment and laugh out loud the next.
The story was okay. There was a lot of room for improvement. That being said, it held my interest until the end – I don’t regret reading the book.
Very steamy but unrealistic
This book was a hot, erotic story that was very powerful. There was more to it than just sex tho. The plot was suspenseful & engaging. The characters evolved into likable people. However, if you are not into 3 brothers sharing 1 woman, then this book is definitely not for you.
Loved this book. It was steamy, sexy. The characters were great, the plot was steamy and writing was amazing. A must read.
Be comfortable with ménage a trios to read this book.
Oh if there only was such a place with three brothers! Yummy!
Good book
Great story line nice ending. Can’t wait to read next book
Hot hot hot
This is a HOT book. Plot is OK, but you have to fall in love with the McLendon men. Nothing like alpha men protecting and adoring their family.
Yes there are very descriptive sex scenes. BUT there is a very good story in this book. More story pages than sex pages which is unusual for erotica. There is a mystery and a few surprises. Worth reading.
Enjoyed it so much I bought the complete set. Hoping D L Roan continues writing about this family
A story of lies, losses, obsessions, friendships, families, and love that is wonderfully written. Amazing characters and nonstop action bring the many different events surrounding the characters to life. The tragedies of the past, the present dangers, the sizzling romance of a foursome, the love for children, and unbreakable bonds of family will capture you from the first page to the last!
I enjoy trying different plots and romantic genres but I’ve never been a fan of menage or reverse harems. I realized that perhaps I hadn’t ever read a really good menage and asked a Goodreads friend who has similar taste in books as I do to recommend her favorite to me. This is the book she suggested and went into it determined to have an open mind.
First, I have to say that this was so well written. There are three heroes, all brothers, which was another hard limit to get past. However, they were so developed in such clearly individual manners and each had their own appeal that I loved them separately as well as together as a family. Their care and concern for the heroine was sincere and the fact that one of the brothers was totally alpha in his jealous, possessive and protective reactions made me actually fall in love with him all the more. FYI: none of those j/p feelings were towards his brothers.
The heroine is on the run and hiding from a dangerous past and there is someone hunting her. If you like a heroine that is need of protecting as well as flourishes under the care of a hero, then Claire is for you. I liked her. She didn’t feel the need to lean on the heroes and actually was trying to protective them. There are no too stupid to live moments here. I did wonder why she didn’t flounder more when she was confronted with this family’s dynamic or the almost instant moves they made towards pulling her into it. It was not something she had ever been exposed to and she was almost a virgin still.
While all of the story itself was very enjoyable and I loved getting to know this family in its entirety, I must confess I still felt a wall between myself and the fact that three men/brothers were sharing the same woman. I wanted to love that part of their story and although I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t feel happy about it. I think I’m going to remain a fan of the one man woman/one woman man trope. Sorry Carol! But I can’t deny that the smexy times were hot, as in steaming and very well written. They did not consume this story as I expected they might, and the emotions between all the characters were deep felt.
Multi POV
One of the sweetest stories I have read like this. Yes there were bedroom scenes but they were in addition to the storyline. Enjoyed this story very much.
could not really get into this book
I enjoyed it. A little different from other books I have read.
The relationship (and each character’s supposed emotional maturity) was a little too far fetched for me to buy into.
