Viola hops on a train to her new life and finds a quick friend in Joseph Edwards. Her adventure into her new life isn’t as she plans. A heartwarming story of how true love can really be.
Another great read by Lorelei Brogan who once again brings strong characters with an interesting and captivating story line. She had me glued to the pages from start to finish with this page turner. She does a great job developing both her characters and the story line and takes you back to the day with her detailed scenes. The story moves fluidly and is a wonderful read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Viola has been writing to Thomas. She has agreed to marry him. On the train she meets Thomas’s brother, Joseph. She doesn’t tell him she is a mail order bride, because she knows they are sometimes looked down on. They talk about clothing, since they both are involved with clothing (she sews clothes, and he sells clothing). They get to the city of Samuel to discover it is Joseph’s criminal brother, Thomas, that she is to marry. Thomas hid his past of drunkenness and thievery. They try to get out of the marriage, by involving a lawyer and the sheriff. They also send men to follow Viola whenever she is with Thomas. Viola starts sewing for the theater. Joseph is a man of many hidden talents. He is a magician. Can Viola and Joseph stop Thomas from marrying her? Will they be able to break the marriage papers bond? Will Joseph be able to go against his brother, even if it means putting him in jail? Mysteries to be solved. Cattle rustlers to wrangle. True love to find and more. I highly recommend this book! Happy Reading!
Contracts cannot be broken, or can they?
Traveling as a mail-order bride, Viola meets a nice man, Joseph, on the train on the way to meet her soon- to- be husband, Thomas Edwards. Joseph and Thomas are as different as two brothers can be.
The town’s residents agree, no one should be compelled to marry Thomas; however, Viola signed a contract.
Read to find out how a town works to keep the promised union of the couple from happening.
Viola meets the nightmare every mail order bride worried about, the man she had been corresponding with was not what he seemed, in fact he was a criminal. In a twist of fate the helpful stranger on the train is the brother of her fiancée. Oh, the twists and turns life takes and Viola and Joseph try to keep her from having to fulfill her contract. Wonderful characters and storyline that will keep you reading just one chapter more.
This book was one outstanding read with the great character and storyline development that kept me turning the pages until the very end!
