After tragedy strikes, Callie Sinclair is left with a gift she never wanted—the ability to communicate with ghosts. But when a desperate widow begs for her help, she reluctantly agrees to investigate the strange occurrences at Hillwood Farm. She quickly realizes she’s dealing with a dangerous presence beyond anything she’s ever experienced, and something else becomes equally clear—the only other … other living person in the house, Mrs. Turner’s handsome grandson, thinks she’s a scam artist. While she’d prefer to just ignore him, her heart beats a little faster every time he’s nearby.
Luke Turner doesn’t believe in spirits. He’s moved back to restore the family farm, but living on the property serves a dual purpose—he can watch out for his grandmother. He’s not happy about the sudden appearance of a self-described psychic, or his inexplicable attraction to her. His initial suspicions crumble as evidence points to an actual haunting, but he’s still determined not to fall for Callie—the past has taught him it’s best to avoid relationships.
As Callie is drawn deeper into the mystery, she becomes the target of a vengeful spirit, and Luke can no longer fight his feelings for her. Unable to resist their desire, passion ignites…even as the paranormal activity escalates to a final deadly confrontation.

This was my first book by Kathryn Knight, but will not be my last! I’m sometimes afraid to read, or in this case listen to, paranormal fiction because I find that authors have a hard time getting it right. But this is not the case with Knight’s book. She hits it out of the park! I instantly related to and loved the characters. The paranormal aspect was believable and entertaining. And the narration was phenomenal! Can’t wait to read more by Kathryn Knight!
The Haunting of Hillwood Farm was a thrilling page-turner and I was hooked from beginning to end. This novel had the right mix of romance, friendship, disbelief, mystery and scare factor. The story was my first Kathryn Knight novel and I enjoyed it immensely. The haunting wasn’t really scary just a bit chilling at times, but it did keep me at the edge of my seat and I enjoyed the romance between the two characters in the story. I really enjoyed this novel and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of romantic thrillers.
The audible version was narrated by Kristin James. Her voice perfectly suited to this role and she did a fantastic job with the characters especially the ghost. Her timing and delivery was spot on and I enjoyed listening to her narrate this novel.

This was an excellent ghost haunting story. The story gets into the action right away. This narrators voice really made me feel these haunting as if they were happening to me. Her different voices for the different characters were perfect. This is the story of Callie who, after a tragic accident, can now hear and see spirits. There is a ghost haunting Mrs. Turner’s farm. From a reference from a friend she reaches out to Callie. As Callie tries to help her Mrs. Turners grandson Luke at first thinks she is a scam artist. The thing is Callie isn’t asking for money. She just wants to use her new gift to help. The mild hauntings get worse as Callie is in the house and soon no matter where Callie goes she isn’t safe. They get more deadly the closer Luke and her start to become once he realizes she isn’t a fraud. This story had me on the edge of my seat. I loved it. A truly great romantic supernatural story.
Five stars to an author who consistently lures me in and keeps me mesmerized. The Haunting of Hillwood Farm, Kathryn Knight’s newest release, is a beautifully crafted story that drew me in on the first page and help me spell bound to the very end…a delightful mix of romance, mystery, and a touch of supernatural. I highly recommend this and all the other stories I’ve read by Kathryn Knight, and author who will keep me coming back with each new release! We’ll done.
PNR with ghosts, a medium, sweet grandmother, and a hot hunk of a grandson. I’m not one to read reviews a head of listening I like to form my own opinions, so I was pleasantly surprised with the storyline, the intrigue and the sweet budding romantic aspect to the story. Will look for more from this author in the future.
Narrator Kristen James helped add a shiver up your spine with her inflection.

A suspenseful, ghost story with a nice side of romance, I really enjoyed this book.
The book begins quickly and the supernatural angle really works. I wish the romance was downplayed a bit and more focus elsewhere. I felt the author did well with the paranormal.
I believe I have found an author that I will buy whatever she writes. This is the second novel I have read and Ms. Knight simply doesn’t disappoint!
In this extremely powerful paranormal romance suspense Alice calls upon Callie(Psychic) to see if she can help with the weird things going on at her Farm after the untimely death of her husband. Although Alice believes in her abilities, her grandson Luke is skeptic but finds himself attracted to her. Can Cassie help this family? Will Cassie learn to love again? Or will all heck break lose leaving Hillwood Farms to be placed up for sale? You must read the novel to find out.
Ms. Knight has a beautifully natural way of portraying a complicated paranormal, suspenseful romance. Her characters are well drawn and leave no doubt as to the roles they play. Her witty dialogue honestly details the paranormal and family relationship concerns that almost any reader could identify with. Her scenery is beautifully depicted and the story just flows. It is truly a wonderful and harrowing tale that I simply couldn’t put it down.
5 glorious stars!!!!
Ghost and More
These ghost have a major attitude and they don’t know what to do with it. It’s a great book of discover and romance with a little skepticism thrown in. It’s well done and characters are likable.
An intriguing and captivating paranormal mystery/romance mixed with some realistic and intense scenes that were spooky/scary, heartwarming, endearing, or heart-wrenching. A truly interesting plot that I found myself totally immersed in and felt I was there experiencing them along with the characters. Callie and Luke’s story is a definite page turner and can’t put down type of story. Very well written and totally awesome character development.
this book will keep you guessing until the end. she has a gift that she can talk to ghosts after a dear death accident. he doesnt believe in ghosts. strange things start to happen that could make him believe. plus there is real; danger.
A hauntingly beautiful love story between Callie and Luke. It held me from the first page and I gobbled it up in 2 hours. Add one feisty grandmother..some horses and a dog and it brings you right into their lives.
I was curious after reading the blurb for this book, having heard about it through a Summer Reviews group. I’ve enjoyed other paranormal stories, and I really enjoyed this one as well.
I loved the mystery and thrills that came with the hauntings. The way the author described them, you could vividly picture it. I certainly got the chills a few times, and loved it.
The characters were fun to learn about, and relatable. There is a romance story, within this thrilling one, but I didn’t feel it took away from those chilling moments. You could feel the relationships building as they went through, or shared, their haunting experiences.
I recommend it, if you like some mystery, goosebumps, and romance mixed together.
When I started this book I thought it was going to be a ghost story but it wound up being a paranormal romance. Even so it was an enjoyable read. I liked the characters and there was just enough of the haunting to hold my interest
I enjoyed this story, it is a spooking campfire story, with elements of romance and mystery with some paranormal mixed in. It is just long enough for the mystery to pull the reading in, but not so long that it drags on. I liked the basis of the story (if it was predictable at times). The characters were interesting and I very much enjoyed the heart of the story. It was a shorter read but perfect for those late nights by the campfire as the sun is setting. I could even see this story being made into a ghost story for a TV anthology.
The story is well written and I enjoyed the balance of mystery to facts as I liked learning alongside the main character. I would have liked a bit more of the ghost part of the story and a bit less of the romance; though I think it was fun to read a story that was a mix of the two. I don’t want to give anything away so I will be light on the details; I just think that if any reader is looking for a fun read with a bit of spook then this might be a satisfying read.
Loved this book! The tension builds at a quick pace and kept me guessing as to who the ghost was. The ghost was scary. The romance was good. I liked the characters. If you haven’t read this author, I’d highly recommend her books.
I love a good ghost story, and this one did not disappoint! Great characters, chemistry, and mystery!
I very much enjoyed this book. From the first page, I wondered how the mystery/ghost problem would be resolved, and when the ghost began to really ramp up, it was done in a very creepy way (but “good” creepy!). I had all sorts of suspicions about who was doing the haunting and why, but the reveal actually managed to be a surprise (no spoilers, just saying it wasn’t who I thought it was at first, but made sense in the context/setup of the story). A really fun, fast read. I look forward to more from this author!
This was an interesting story. Mostly, this is a ghost story. A woman who can speak to the dead is called to help an elderly woman and finds a seriously dark spirit in the home. A series of near tragic events happen while they try to figure out what is going on. There is a romance subplot between the woman (Callie) and the elderly woman’s grandson (Luke) but its certainly not the focus. Overall, this was a quick read that was enjoyable but not extraordinary.
