NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Lee Child’s Bad Luck and Trouble. In Lee Child’s astonishing new thriller, ex–military cop Reacher sees more than most people would…and because of that, he’s thrust into an explosive situation that’s about to blow up in his face. For the only way to find the truth—and save two innocent lives—is to do it the way Jack … lives—is to do it the way Jack Reacher does it best: the hard way….
Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it, soaking up the hot, electric New York City night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercedes and drive it away. The car contained one million dollars in ransom money. And Edward Lane, the man who paid it, will pay even more to get his family back. Lane runs a highly illegal soldiers-for-hire operation. He will use any amount of money and any tool to find his beautiful wife and child. And then he’ll turn Jack Reacher loose with a vengeance—because Reacher is the best man hunter in the world.
On the trail of a vicious kidnapper, Reacher is learning the chilling secrets of his employer’s past…and of a horrific drama in the heart of a nasty little war. He’s beginning to realize that Edward Lane is hiding something. Something dirty. Something big. But Reacher also knows this: he’s already in way too deep to stop now.

Reacher is always a good read.
I read anything this man writes. Anything. Reacher is always in the middle of the action and always supports the underdog.
Another winner from Lee Child. Action packed
Another page turner for Lee Child. There is never any doubt about who the bad guy is, and the bad guy always gets his comeuppance.
A Lee Child authored book. All enjoyable. Jack (Reacher) is a fictional character, with unique abilities to see minute details to help him solve crimes and thwart criminals.
Very good read!!!!
Typical Lee Child book about “Reacher”. It is filled with twists and turns and as always action packed. Always leaves you wanting more.
What can be said about Jack Reached that hasn’t been said already he is attitude and can back it up
I like every Jack Reacher book l have read. My husband teases that I like to fantasize about Jack Reacher, but that’s not it. I like the stories — well written page- turners that are hard to put down.
Love this series but have to really picture Jack before I start a new book so I can delete that wimpy Tom Cruise out of my head….what were they thinking?!? Jack is tough, strong and huge! All things he is not. Many have complained that Jack accomplishes impossible things in the books….of course he does! He’s the hero! Love the impossibility of situations and imagination to get him out
Typical Lee Child/Jack Reacher novel. Always well written and worth reading.
Love Lee Child and Major Jack Reacher–what a guy. They never fail to entertain.
Another disappointment. This one creates a character that is “too cruel” to be real. Can guess the ending – and can “picture it” – about 2/3 into the book.
I discovered Jack Reacher about 1 1/2 years ago and I read every book I can get my hands on.
I enjoyed it very much. I always enjoy the Jack Reacher books
Always enjoy Jack Reacher.
Lee Child never disappoints!
I love reading stories of Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher character depicting his assured and competent response to varying hostile situations. This one is especially convoluted and interesting for that reason. Just wish there was a 6’7″ and 250 pound actor playing the lead in the Reacher films.
I really enjoy Jack Reacher. This was a very good story.
Jack Reacher keeps you on your toes.
