I just really could not get into the story.
This book was about a killer who went after pedos.
This one kept me on the edge of my seat–fast moving and scary
it was a pleasant surprise, i checked it out because it was free, like it so much i bought one of his books, if consistently good, will purchase more
I forgot
An unusual story involving, Hunter, a former CIA assassin killing pedophiles to avenge his abuse as a child, Sullivan, a classically trained journalist whose brother’s hacking skills lead her to exploitive journalism and patrician British pedophiles with Russian killers. Hunter’s killing a top British pedophile, while taking his laptop, and others involved with pedophilia in Thailand unleashes havoc. The British pedophile club eliminates loose ends, the CIA looks for the hacker – to hire him — and Hunter and Sullivan try to protect the brother, Johnny. Fast paced and very entertaining. And, by the end of the story Hunter has overcome his abuse as a child.
The writing drew me in and I was totally surprised. The story slowly unfolds as you begin to learn who is behind the curtain, well hidden from those who should have known. The characters were well drawn – some you couldn’t help but like, some you despise, but as for the Police Captain and the murderer, it began to feel like they were more alike than was comfortable. Recommended for those who are not faint of heart! There were some salacious and some horrifying scenes.
Enjoyed it.
It’s OK and nothing more than an average read.
Scary good read!
This is excellent and feels fresh and relevant ,interesting contrast off the computer hacker , the journalist and the mercenary .feels realistic
I enjoyed this read and would read more of this Author.
Don’t read this book if you are sensitive to extreme violence and child abuse content. I did read it but won’t read a second one in this series. Wouldn’t want to meet this author– must be an evil demented person to think of the things he wrote in this book.
Scary
Started it two time and quit both times. Entirely too many plot changes for me. Write a book with a plot and identifiable characters, Had to keep notes to know who was who. I’m too old to be bothered.
This book was so juvenile that it was difficult to finish. Only in fiction could these characters survive at all. My 13-year-old granddaughter can write better than this.
Very involved plot and interesting characters.
Characters were often over blown or not believable. Went on far too long. Torture of Johnny far too unrealistic and way out. These people were supposed to be pros but almost lithe kid before they got what their master needed. There are lots of ways to get someone to do what you want, especially a kid, without reverting to far out gizmos that fry his testicles. How do you get shit like that through customs? It was free and had some tense moments but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Whoa! If you story and dialogue aren’t what they should be, by all means, use brutality and torture.
The story-line was improbable if not impossible. The dialogue was off, just didn’t sound like real people talking. And, Johnny? Really? This person is supposed to be 18 and a genius, and he acts and talks this way?
Not sure why I even bothered to finish it. There wasn’t a single character in the entire book that I liked and only a few of the ones I thought deserved to die, did die.
And…it’s a series.
Trite and poor character description.
