The Guardian’s Sapphire Heart: Panther Creek Book 1 by Toni Peden is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number one in this amazing series writen by a brand new author for me and I loved it can not wait for the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters and paranormal romances in their stories.

Delsin is a Guardian and a vampire. Delsin was sent th Panther Creek because someone was dusting vamps and that us not allowed. Delsin finds much more than he expected in the little back woods town.
Sapphire is daughter of the Alpha to the local panther shifters in Panther Creek. Sapphire is a strong, brave, take no crap, alpha female.
This was 205 pages of unputdownable entertainment. At the beginning of the story, I wasn’t sure who I even liked! By the time you’re at the end, characters who you thought were the villains, aren’t and vice versa. The Asherah is my absolute favorite and she made laugh many times even though she is a more serious character. The one thing I wonder about….did Delsin stay in town? I think this debut book is amazing and there will be great things to come from this author!
A vampire is like a long-living human, the only difference is they need to have a little blood from time to time. But the rule is – never to force anyone and never to kill. Strigoi are the bad kind, they cannot be in the sun, kill and give a bad name to all. So vampires are the ones sent to kill the Strigoi.
In this story a council guardian is sent to help investigate a spree of vampire dustings. Delsin is known as one of the best guardians and hopes to find the killer quickly. What he did not count on was to find a lifemate – vampires do not have lifemates! Sapphire, his panther mate, has a family who never heard of the difference between vampires and strigoi and are trying everything to stop the mating. Trying to solve the case and protecting his mate becomes more and more difficult.
A good story of cultural bias, of hate crimes and of course of friendship.
Well-written and absolutely enjoyable.

This is hot, steamy fated mate romance. This also has a bit of suspence and mystery. This has an amazing plot that flows easily. Sapphire and Delsin have amazing chemistry and the dialouge between them is great.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased , honest review.
Delving was a Guardian and a Vampire and was investigating numerous vampire dusting. Sapphire (Fire) was a Panther Shifter and her Father hated Vampires. The story was very interesting and involved deceit, deception, murder, action, and steamy scenes. The characters were vivid, likable, and memorable. Good short read!

Sapphire a panther shifter, her clan is isolated from others and follow the old rules. When she meets Delsin she is drawn but when she learns he is vampire she runs, as she believes they are evil killers.
Delsin a vampire, one of the guardians of the Council. He has come to this area because someone is killing vampires, his job is to locate them and turn them over to the council.
A sweet book about prejudice and change. Easy to read good storyline.

Sapphire is intrigued by a scent during her run in the forest and must track it down. The Guardians are protectors from threats to society and Delsin is there to find a destroyer. He is focused on his mission and not on distractions, and Sapphire is definitely a distraction. The premise of the Panther Creek Series is interesting and I enjoyed the characters.

I was grabbed by this story at minute one. The way Delsin and Sapphire are thrown into a dangerous cat and mouse situation that forces them to work together even though all her beliefs and instincts tell her to run away from him. This story is about overcoming, working together and tolerance with a little romance and heat mixed in for good measure. I can’t wait to read more from this new author.
This was a great first in a series.. The characters were so incredible each so different but blended so well together.. This story was suspenseful, action packed funny and full of love… Can’t wait to see what this author comes up for a second book.. Very hard to believe this is her very first release she killed it…
I liked the idea of the story but I am not sure about the style of writing. The way some characters are perceived wasnt in a very good light at least to me. I had trouble connecting with characters and honestly I dont think I liked any of them. The connection between Delsin and Sapphire was just rushed and I didnt feel it. I’m not knocking off stars for this or anything but there are bound to be some errors in books thats just a given. However, as a reader its difficult to keep focus on what we’re reading when we have to pause or go back to make sure what we read was accurate or if we misunderstood. It wasnt terrible but I think it needs to be polished and/or cleaned up a little more. This was just ok for me and I also winced in a specific part of the book. SPOILER!!!!!
It didnt endear Delsin to me at all when they had relations for the first time and she was a virgin but he said he KNEW she was one but thrust really hard into her so the pain would be over with….really? I get why he thought that was a good idea but still just no man just no. Just my opinion though and it might not bother anyone else.
As far as debut novels go, this one has a very interesting start. In a world where the different paranormal factions are trying to survive and protect the humans, there is someone determined to “dust” all the vampires. By doing this it breaks a treaty set by the Greater Council to ensure no one faction obtains more power and prevents wars from breaking out as well.
Delsin’s job as a Guardian is to protect this treaty. Traveling to Alabama he’s tasked with figuring out who is the cause for the increase in vampire deaths. However, his travels have led him to more than just discovering answers and soon his life will change in ways Delsin did believe possible.
As princess of her clan, Sapphire is tasked with finding a panther mate to carry on her lineage. Her father as Alpha has their clan living in isolation away from other clans and especially from other factions. So, imagine her surprise when she finds out the delicious scent her panther seems to be panting after is a vampire. All she’s known her entire life is that vampires kill anyone and everyone, but Delsin doesn’t give her that vibe.
Is it possible that he doesn’t want to kill her?
What has her panther panting after this vampire?
Who is really killing off the vampires?
Pick up this debut novel by Toni Peden and find out!
The Guardian’s Sapphire Heart
Great characters and an amazing story with Vampires, Shifters and Fae
Delsin is a Guardian who is investigating the killing of vampires. Sapphire is a panther shifter with an inner fire that can’t be put out. They never imagined meeting each other would be so life-changing. Now they both must be careful with a murderer on the loose.
A fun new paranormal romance series. I really wanted to love the story but it was hard to the way it was written made it hard for me to get into and I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters. I enjoyed the concept but just had a difficult time getting into the story.
This is book one of the Panther Creek books. Vampires getting dusted, a panther not knowing what finding your mate is like and will do to the town, a father keeping secrets that never need to be reviled, these issue are just the tip of what happens within this book. The story line was great such a different type of shifter book. Delisn and Sapphire have no idea what is in store for them in the next few days. With the help of family and friends they will understand what it takes to be one. I did enjoy this story.
Things I did not care for there were several errors in the book when the panthers shifted they lost their clothes but then at times when they shifted back they had clothes or the line was left out that they put on clothes. There were other errors with wrong names etc. Yes these can be over looked and there were only a few. Now this is my opinion but the word Fuck is used way too much within the story. I for one do not like this word nor does it need to be used in one sentence 3 times. I would think you could get the same point across with using the word once and move on. Again this is my opinion of that word.
this book was amazing! he was sent to find out who is dusting the vampires. he runs into her who is a panther. her family doesnt want her near him. only she cant seem to stay away from him. read to find out what happens.
This is a great new series that quickly grabbed my attention and kept me turning the pages. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and follow along on their journey. It took a bit to get into the story, I think due to setting up the story, etc., it was worth reading.
This book is a good lesson in acceptance. I love Sapphire and Delsin’s story. It’s full of suspense and happiness.
I was given a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
While I liked the premise of the book, and felt like the storyline and its characters had promise, everything felt so rushed. Instead of feeling the connections between the characters fall into place, it was more so as if we were told these connections existed. Very little time was given to building the plot or each of the characters, and because of this, it was hard to feel invested in the trouble they faced. Scenes where the characters laughed didn’t come across as funny. Moments the reader was told were intense and heartbreaking to our characters just didn’t feel that way.
I likely wouldn’t read any further books in this series, as I felt it just wasn’t developed enough.
