Get Married or Else!Cole Bailey’s eccentric billionaire grandfather issues an edict. If his grandsons don’t settle down soon, he’ll sell controlling interest in the family business. After losing a coin toss to his twin brother, Zach, Cole’s gotta go first. On the hunt for a bride, Cole crashes a high society wedding and comes face-to-face with his high school pal, Tess Morgan. The formerly shy, … Morgan.
The formerly shy, overweight bookworm is no longer the pushover who did Cole’s homework for him. At the reception, Tess goads him into a game of pool. Just to keep things interesting, Cole suggests a wager. If he wins, she must help him find the perfect woman to wed.
Losing the bet is one thing, but playing matchmaker for the heartthrob who still causes her pulse to race is another matter entirely. Does Tess stand a chance of convincing Cole that she’s the one he’s been waiting for all along?

It’s problematic
And my husband assures me men can be that stupid. It’s more Hallmark than real with none of the annoying things about life like subcontractors and employees that don’t show up on time. And maybe a baby boutique does better in the city than it does in small towns. It just seems like life is more of a struggle. And the untouched aspect and sex scenes are bloody awful. 1970’s Harlequin’s want their heroine back. And the body image thing was a poor choice as well.
A quick relaxing afternoon read. A fun escape from real life for a little while.
Best book I’ve read in a while. Very entertaining, romantic and funny.
I was looking for a light easy read and this book was fine. A enjoyable story.
This was a good book and very different. I liked it because it was different and not like every other book you might read. Cory or Zack or even their brother needed to get married to say their mother’s job at the company or to keep their grandfather from selling their shares in the company. Their grandfather is a real hard person to get along with. Cory gets reacquainted with this girl from high school and expects her to find him a girl to marry. You need to read the book to find out how thing get really involved. It’s a fun time before she finds him the perfect match . Enjoy!

Really enjoyed let me step out of my life into there’s.
Great read
Sweet little story with wonderful characters. This book was extremely well written and I totally enjoyed it!!!
There were some really good and funny moments with the matchmaking.
He has to marry or horrible things happen to his mom. Serial lover he becomes even harder to find a bride for when he keeps comparing them to his matchmaker.
She has been in love with him since high school… Truly sees him as still a serial lover.
Nicely done with some good humor and final angst before he can convince her.
A light romantic novel about a man mixing up a bet, a relative’s unrealistic demand, a long overdue high school romance. The results are hilarious. This is a great light read with excellent writing, plot and editing. Recommend.
05/15/2021 “The Groom Wager” (nook) was a touching love story. It is light hearted yet it is a wee bit of tear-jerker. There is angst and heartache between Cole and Tess even though they have known each other since high school. I chuckled a couple of times because of some of the situations.
This is one great read!
So Enjoyed
This is one of those stories that are cute & funny at the same time. Cole is sneaking into a wedding reception to meet nice women. His grandfather has decided he and his brother need to marry or lose the stock in the family business and his mom w/o a job. Tess is caught her dress trying to get her wedding gift out of car when she runs into Cole. It’s kinda a meet cute.
