3 of 5 stars to The Grilling Season, the 7th book in the “Goldy Bear Schultz Culinary” cozy mystery series, written in 1997 by Diane Mott Davidson. This is one of my favorite series, as I always enjoy reading about Goldy’s antics. In this one, though, we meet the ex-husband who abused her… so it was a little much to read about the things he did …
Enjoyable reading
These “Goldy’s catering” mysteries are pretty formulaic but I enjoy the characters and seeing how their lives evolve. Nice cosy mysteries.
Love Goldy and her catering crew. This is another is a wonderful series!
I will read ANYTHING by Diane Mott Davidson! Her stories are solidly written; the characters jump off the page and make you want to laugh or scream at them ~ they’re REAL people ~ just the kind I like to read! Goldy and food?? What more could you ask for?!?!?! Thank you for another GREAT BOOK, Ms Davidson!
This one was GOOD ! Poor Goldy has to go through h*’ll with the jerk and her son and the crazy doll people don’t help matters either.
I read or listen to all of Diane Mott’s books because I enjoy the mysteries which keep me guessing and are void of vulgar language which is distracting.
Love it!
I own all her books!
One of my favorite series. I wish Dianne had written a few more Goldie books. This was a fun series, and I have tried numerous recipes from these books. The recipes work well and are enjoyable to say the least. Just ONE more please!!!
FAVORITE AUTHOR & SERIES.
Diane Mott Davidson is one of my favorite authors. Her Hannah Swensen series are fun to read and I enjoy trying to figure out the murderer. I hope she writes more in this series.
Love the recipes included.
Goldie the caterer does it again. If you like your mysteries served up with a dash of gourmet eats, then Ms. Davidson’s books are for you.
Love all of the Goldie, the caterer, books.
Love all of Diane Mott Davidson’s books.
Thoroughly enjoy this series.
As usual Diane Mott Davidson delivers the goods. Not only are the recipes delightful, but Goldie wins again and barely stays ahead of the killer. The author introduces some interesting questions about managed health care companies.
I love her books. Someday I hope to make some of the recipes
Goldy is our favorite caterer, and this adventure, as all her others, is fast-paced, engrossing and has some killer recipes!
