Near the border between two kingdoms, a vessel full of innocent passengers is destroyed. While the extent of the impending retaliation is unknown, its inevitability is not. Galactic war is approaching. In a seedy bar in a distant corner of the solar system, a knight clad entirely in green armor puts forth a grisly challenge. The only person to accept the knight’s game is a woman who spends her … spends her time drinking and thieving.
These two acts, occurring in different parts of the galaxy, both lead to the same spot: the planet that will soon fall under attack.
Welcome to Space Lore, where Arthurian legend meets Star Wars. Epic space fantasy will never be the same.

very much enjoyed this book. the plot was well thought out & the characters have life. Look forward to reading the next book (which I have just bought)
the group looks to be a rag tag bunch if idiots but that’s just the surface. they’d sacrifice everything for what they believe in….quite a tale.
This book is a very good glimpse of what the distant future could hold in store. I loved the word play as well as all the distinctive locations and characters.
This is a good book for the young reader. With over tones of knights of the round table. Join Vere and a motley group as they race through space to make the appointment with the green knight. Will she lose her head? Stop a war? Save her father? This is definitely not your normal sci fi.
The Green Knight (Space Lore #1) by Chris Dietzel is an amazing sci-fi journey into fun. There’s such interesting characters, places, action, fast plot, emotions, very imaginative fantasy, and a great overall appeal to this book. I loved it and I see why some compare it to some aspects of Star Wars. It has the many characters, a type of universal force (which is named briefly but I have a feeling it may come in handy for future books) , space wars and action, complex and delightful characters and unsavory ones too, good vs evil, and a quest of one character to find themselves. The book is different in that is has a whole different feel. You don’t THINK Star Wars when you read it, it is totally different. Again, complex characters, great plot, and awesome and believable dialogue mixed with the imaginative creatures, places, battles, make this an astounding book. A must read for galactic war sci-fi readers. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
