This is the second story in the series after A Cinderella to Secure His Heir. Who is Giannis? Who is Tabitha? What do each of them do for a living? Who are Fiona and Saffron? How does Tabitha know them? Who helps Tabitha go to the ball? Who does she go as? What is the deal with Tabitha and where she works? Who is Mrs. Coulter? What happens when Niki goes to visit Giannis and sees Tabitha there? This book was once again, like the first for me, sweet, fun, a tear-jerker, and made me smile with the HEA. Enjoy the read and see what Tabitha ends up doing with her England interests.

The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella by Michelle Smart is book Two in the Cinderella Seductions series. This is the story of Giannis and Tabitha. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Giannis has trust issues after her previous wife cheated on him but then she was killed in a accident. Tabitha started life well but then her parents past and her step-mother killed her out when she was around 18. Tabitha became a maid and happen to befriend a older lady who gave her a ticket in a gown to go to a ball. There she meets Giannis they have a hot encounter and Tabitha sneaks out the next day until a month later when she finds that the night was going to have more to come.
Enjoyed their story.
The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella by Michelle Smart is a retelling of Cinderella with a Greek business tycoon and the woman he never saw coming. Tabitha’s life has not been an easy one. Now working as a maid to make ends meet, she never expected to attend a ball, much less meet her prince charming. After a night of seduction, she will never forget, she realizes she has a surprise coming in nine-months.
Giannis does not need or want another wife; one disastrous marriage was enough. But when his family is wanting more for him, he agrees to the ball. He was a cold and hard man, but Tabitha touched something inside of him. But when she is gone after the ball, he is more intrigued than ever. But when she comes bearing news he never expected he becomes suspicious and cruel. Can he see what he has before it’s too late? A charming and sweet story about second chances and love.
Happy reading!
This is an entertaining book. A modern romance mixed with a heavy dose of fairytale, this is Tabitha and Giannis story. I didn’t feel that there were any big surprises her but that did not decrease my enjoyment of this book. Emotional turmoil, drama, sweetness and romance provide a sold base for the likable characters to work with. Giannis has painful emotional baggage, Tabitha was a bit immature and they both had some big trust issues. These things cause quite a bit of tension in their romance.
The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella is a modern Harlequin Presents take on the very familiar Cinderella fairytale with a chambermaid heroine and a powerful and rich hero. Many of the story’s elements will be familiar to readers. The heroine’s father remarried an evil woman with two daughters who treated the heroine horribly and stole her inheritance from her after her father died. She tries to survive being a chambermaid in a famous hotel where she befriends an elderly woman who acts as her ‘godmother’ and gives her a ticket to a outlandish hosted by the hero.
What I liked was how quickly the story progressed, especially concerning the romance and pregnancy plot. Sometimes Harlequin Presents titles are very misleading. The hero and heroine spend a magical night together where the heroine ends up pregnant. The motivations for the hero treating the heroine with distain after finding out about her being a chambermaid and pregnant was reasonable considering his disaster of a marriage to his now dead ex-wife. The hero and heroine has amazing chemistry and there were many moments the author showed just how much the hero felt attraction towards the heroine.
“But that was the wrong question to ask because all it did was make his already aching loins remember the exquisite pleasure of being bare inside her.”
This isn’t my favorite Michelle Smart Harlequin Presents, but it was enjoyable and fun. There were a few things that prevented me from absolutely loving this and it was the characters. I just didn’t love either the hero or heroine. The heroine was presented as timid, which isn’t a bad thing and in fact I like my timid heroines, but her entire character arc was about her gaining inner strength and ‘backbone’ like she didn’t have before. I didn’t really like how she came up with her strength and used her newfound confidence. It kind made her ruthless. Being timid does not mean you are a doormat which is a huge misconception a lot of romance readers have. She also had a lot of insecurities concerning the hero’s dead ex-wife which didn’t make any sense to me and felt like was just added to create conflict. I didn’t really like how she came up with her strength and used her newfound confidence. It kind made her ruthless. The hero, I liked him until he let the heroine leave. He then became like a whiny child. It was kind of comedic his interaction with his sister when she confronted him about why the heroine left. It was what I would picture siblings to be like, but it made the hero come off as childish.
Anyways, this was the first Harlequin Presents book that was able to finish in one sitting in a while. I always enjoy Michelle Smart’s books and look forward to her next one!
