It was fitting that her name meant “the fiery one” because Serafina was hot!
Somehow, I knew from the second I laid eyes on her in that hospital that she was going to be mine for eternity.
I had a bet to win, one that would free me from the prison in which I’d been cast after being framed for a crime that my brother committed.
And the stakes were higher than any I’d ever known in this life or … ever known in this life or the next.
But the way I felt for Sera had little to do with the wager and everything to do with the fact she was my mate.
Everyone is conspiring against us, dark forces and light but love always wins in the end…doesn’t it?
Author’s Note: This is a steamy stand alone with an HEA intended for 18+

2 brothers, immortal wolf shifters, are at the center of this story. One, framed by the other and sent to hell, although he was innocent. Ironically the other is sent to heaven. Several hundred years later, Ashur is sent back to Earth from Hell, to complete a mission. His brother, Jayce, is sent out to ban him back to Hell. Complicating the situation between the brothers is a woman, Serafina, who Ashur recognizes as his fated mate.
The book lives off the dynamic between the brothers and the conniving tricks of Jayce, trying to cover up his original betrayal and crime.

Faith is it Enough
Having read this book I am in a quandary about how the story was played out. If going into details of where my conflict was established parts of this story will come out in this review and I don’t want that as it might ruin someones reading pleasure.
Do not think this story is written terribly wrong that is not the problem, it is my over imaginative imagination that is causing the problem. For me my mind took the characters and wanted them to do something else, that just the way I am, to prolong the story line.
Let us just say I have never thought of a shifter having an afterlife and all that it entails.
I have read quite a few of Mia Taylor’s books and loved them. This particular book, however, did not capture my imagination. I did not connect with any of the characters. It had a storyline that did not do anything for me. I was disappointed. But I am sure that there are those of you who will like the characters and enjoy the story very much.

I really like a story of someone getting their just due. I still wonder if Michael had a small hand in this. Good story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love Mia’s books and this one is no exception and if this is any indication it is going to be another great series. Ashur and Jayce are half brothers Ashur makes a deal to try to find his love but he makes that deal with the dark side Jayce is the one who pays the consequences but when he actually meets Serafina he finds it may all be worth while as she is his one true mate Do they have any chance of a future together.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. The Great Wolf Escape by Mia Taylor is the first book in her new Scandalous Shifters series. I enjoyed this read. Ms. Taylor has an interesting way of painting with her words. This was a good take on the eternal battle of good v. evil. I really loved the way Ashur and Jayce develop through the story. I’m interested to see where this series goes next.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride with Ashur was sentenced for something his brother Jayce did.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

This was a very quick read. I thought overall the plot was interesting, but I felt that it could have been expanded on. It ends with justice being served and a HEA, but something was missing in this one for me.
I love a well written PNR book and this one hit the spot with plenty of twist and turns added for a great storyline. The characters are well developed and engaging and and the chemistry is undeniable.
