When a soggy bottom is the least of your worries…The producers of Witchflix TV favourite The Great Witchy Cake Off are searching for somewhere new to base the filming of their next series. Naturally, Alfhild Daemonne, a long time fan of all things cakey, invites them to Whittle Inn.But what seemed like a great opportunity for a little harmless Wonky Inn self-promotion backfires when, at dawn on … backfires when, at dawn on the first day of filming, one of the contestants is found toes-up outside the famous marquee.
Alf can’t believe her rotten luck.
But it’s not all bad news. The producers need a fresh contestant and Florence the ghost – Alf’s long-dead housekeeper – is in the right place at the right time.
Who knew the baking world could be so deadly? But never mind, solving this mystery should be a piece of cake.
Shouldn’t it?
Chaos, catastrophe, ghosts and giggles in this warm and wonky, clean and cozy witch series of mysteries.
The Great Witchy Cake Off is a standalone but complements the Wonky Inn series as a whole.
Best served with a huge Devonshire Cream Tea!

I just finished the latest installment of the Wonky Inn series. In this one, Alf’s Wonky Inn is playing host to the Great Witchy Cake-off. When someone involved with the show is murdered, Alf and her merry band of characters are determined to solve it. There are many clever play on word names for characters from the witchy cake-off, that if you are a fan of the British Bake-off, you’ll immediately recognize and appreciate them for their cleverness; e.g. Fairy Kerry, instead of Mary Berry. I enjoyed the story immensely. It’s whimsical and fast-paced, and Jeannie really has a way with imagery and words enabling the reader to be immersed in the story right away. Word of advice, make sure you aren’t hungry when reading this. Get some treats, coffee or tea and settle in for a good read. I can’t wait to read the next one!

A Witchy Cake Off
Alf and the employees of The Wonky Inn are hosting a TV crew for the taping of a popular show
“A Witchy Cake Off”. Some of the crew are not happy with the inn, and are pretty rude. There is a death, of course, and the show is one contestant short. Guess who gets to fill the spot? I’m not telling, lol. Silvan and Ross are back. Alf goes on a date. Who with? Again, I’m not telling. Over all this is a good story, I have read all of the books so far, and have not been disappointed. Who would be? There are ghosts, witches, vampires, (oh, I forgot to mention, Alf also received a letter from the vampires, wander what they want?) murder and romance. Grab a copy and be prepared to be entertained.

Once again, we are entertained by the action that never stops!
Alfhild “Alf” Daemonne, the quirky witch owner of the Wonky Inn, has invited the producers of Witchflix TV’s popular show, “The Great Witchy Cake Off”, to film at the Wonky Inn – publicity for the Inn is always a good thing, right? But with Alf’s typical run of luck being what it is, Janice Tork-Mimosa is murdered — her body found by a sobbing contestant — with a silver cake knife embedded in her chest. Needing a quick replacement, they ask Florence the ghost, Alf’s long-dead housekeeper, to step in. Once again, Alf has her hands full with keeping an eye on the show while helping to solve the murder! And this time, she may even sneak in a little time for her love life! Who is the murderer? Why was Janice killed? And will Florence win the bake-off this year?
As we have now come to expect, the reader is presented with great writing, great character development, and an escalating story line that gets more intriguing with each new adventure! Don’t miss this one! If you’re new to the series, you will love it! If you’ve been on this journey for some time now, you’ll love seeing our old friends again while also meeting some new ones. It is never a dull moment around the Wonky Inn!
These books are always a fun read with Alf’s of kilter world of ghostly spirits deceased family members ex boyfriends and the ever present mystery and magic that is Wonky Inn.
In this book you have a Murdered producer Janice a list of suspects as the days roll on is it someone she new and worked with a contestant the sausage man or a former lover Alf always gets to the bottom of things just in time. Also theres a new twist in Alf’s life a date that goes wrong the return of Silvan with his snarky coments and his constant needling of Alf I wonder why. And a letter that keeps returning from a particular vampire and the last time Alf dealt with them well there not welcome at the Inn anymore. But Florence her ghostly maid is having a lovely time baking in the Great Witchy Cake off after a contestant drops out. And one of Alf’s friends is being scamed romantically but her computer ghostly genious friend Ross will help her to find that out. Also there is a constant array of things going wrong with the show could it be sabotage. You will have to read the book to find out.

Alf has a TV crew at the Wonky Inn – the latest show of the “Witchy Bake-off” is to be held at the Inn.
When one of the producers is murdered and found by a contestant before the show begins, the crew is one contestant short and they ask Florence to step in.
Between watching the process of making the show and trying to help solve the murder Alf is kept busy.
Like all the other books an entertaining story with lots of quirky characters who make the Wonky Inn stories special and unique in the best way of a cozy mystery.

Witch Alfhild Daemonne, owner of the Wittle Inn, is hosting popular TV show The great Witchy Cake Off, when on the very first day of filming someone is murdered. Alf’s ghostly maid Florence is asked to fill in for the deceased contestant. I really enjoyed seeing Florence shine in the competition. A great stand alone, but so much better if other books in the series have been read. A quirky, fun paranormal read. A paranormal spin on the great British Bake off is the playground for the adventures of this book. Fabulous Florence gets a chance to show off her dessert skills – thankfully for the Witchflix network.
Jealousy, greed, conniving and murder are sadly all on the menu, thankfully side by side with friendship, fun, and odd bits of romance.
Alf and her cohorts provide a lovely wonky world of adventures and may! Glad to be a fan!

So what can you do at an inn run by witches and ghosts to make things just a little more exciting? Film the most popular TV show on witch TV, The Great Witchy Cake Off. Alf and her team go all out to work with the production team but of course things don’t go smoothly. As always, Alf, Charity and the rest of the team are a blast to read about and it’s even more fun once Silvan shows up. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
The wonderful Wonky Inn.
A wonderful new chapter in the Wonky Inn story and what is happening now but a witchy cake off. Can Alf figure out the mystery? Will George magic be helpful? This has to be one of the best series I have read in a long time humor and mystery always go well together, but add in magic that just takes it over the top. Great characters, great writing, and fun all around that are what you find between the pages of this book. I highly recommend it!! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Do you watch the cooking channels and even a bit familiar with the baking shows? Then this book is for you as the title suggests it has bake off. Now add the mystery of someone being killed , the wonkiest inn you ever heard of and enjoy the fun.
Florence, I kept hoping that you were witch in real life but did not know it (maybe a descendant of a famous one?) and that would take care of your issue. Florence you are the best and we all know it.
I love that I get to learn new British words for my American words.
Remember this is book 7 in the series. You can read this book by itself. There are characters that come and go in this series. highly recommend that you read the series. Fun and you will enjoy it.
Hi, Mr Hoo. Love you.
Can someone tell me about Marissa, where was Gywn, and what about Sally? My unanswered questions in this book.
This my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
This is a fantastic, family-friendly, eight-hour mystery spoofing the British show with a similar name.

Delightfully fun mystery featuring my favorite supernatural inn! I loved to have Ross show up again! I loved the descriptions of Florence’s culinary masterpieces! I love that this inn is an employer of the spectral society! I really love this series!
As usual there are bad deeds afoot. The Witchy bakeoff is held at the inn, but with all the chaos they find someone dead with a knife in her. Good old George is there to see what happened. Love all the ghosts, witches and of course Florence. She’s a hoot. Great read.
