Reads like historical novel. Great story and fun read.
This doesn’t really qualify as “fiction”, although it has fictional elements. A fabulous recounting of a historical event, tied together by what must be ficitional conversations among the principles. Crichton does an excellent job of portraying the culture of the time, and introducing the slang
The movie was good but the book was great.
Exciting adventure.
I picked it up because Crichton has a great rep and I like heist stories, but it was just an OK read. There are a lot better Crichton books out there to try.
My all-time favorite book.
A wonderful story of some charming, if violent individuals. A classic. Read this before watching the also excellent film.
Rollicking good read!
I love all of Michael Crighton’s books. There’s such a diversity in his subjects. But this one is great for anyone who likes history and mystery. I loan out my copy all of the time and everyone enjoys it.
This is a true story that Crichton does a great job with. I really like the way he writes!
