My Review:
I have enjoyed every character and each story in this adorable and well-written cozy mystery series. The grandmas are a feisty bunch of geriatric wannabe sleuths/yentas/nosy knitters that are unstoppable once they get an itch. The group has expanded their “entourage” to include two granddaughters, a couple of gay men, a firefighter, and a policeman. They have also improved on their skill set for their much beloved “recon missions” by learning how to “get on the line” and research “on the tube channel.” The characters are quirky, smart, lovable, and uniquely talented, each in their own special manner.
I also enjoyed having the continuation of characters from the first book throughout all three, while each installment could also be stand-alone volumes as well. The dialog and narratives sparkled with humor while the storylines were unique, unfailingly entertaining, and addictive. Ms. Haggerty has concocted an entertaining and humorous array of characters and tossed them together with some funny words and amusing antics and crafted them into charming and adorable stories. Written in first person narrative in a pleasantly conspiratorial manner. I enjoyed them all from start to finish and maintained a near-constant smirk while I read. I am hoping Ms. Haggerty can be bribed or threatened into continuing this delightful series into infinity.
