Meet retired cop, Sam Prichard.Sam Prichard was a cop, and a good one, until the bullets took out the joint of his right hip. Now he’s trying to learn to live without being a cop, and getting to know his neighbors, learning to walk again and even ride a motorcycle. Life is bearable, barely, but then he gets asked to find a missing child, and the lure of getting back into some kind of police work … kind of police work is too much for him to resist. When he teams up with computer whiz Indiana Perkins, he suddenly becomes one of the best investigators he’s ever even known.
Now, he’s found the missing child, but it’s thrown him right into the middle of something that may be a drug war–or could be a chance to stop the next 911! There’s no way out for Sam, so he’s in for the ride of his life, but when the girl he’s becoming fond of is suddenly drawn into the line of fire with her own little daughter, Sam is ready to forget all the rules and do whatever is necessary to win the day.

Good, clean fun read. Not the most intricate but I did enjoy it and good development of main characters
This book was very trite and the characters were two dimensional. The dialogue was stilted and unbelievable.
I’ve read a couple of these and I like them. They are light reading but just a little too much sugar for me still enjoyed the story.
I enjoy the authors style of writing appears very pragmatic and rich in character traits
Great story, couldnt put it down, had to go to the store and find more by this author
This was an easy read.. I would classify it as a cozy but I think it went under crime.. had some sappy parts..characters were believable..plot was good..had a nice twist at the end
I THINK MAYBE A 4 1/2, IT’S VERY GOOD, BUT THE WOLF BOOKS ARE MORE TO MY LIKES. HE’S ONE OF MY TOP 5 WRITERS NOW, VERY GOOD.
“ROOSTER”
This was an easy read. Not a very deep plot or believable . Kind of like a harlequin romance thriller.
Got this book free and started reading; hard to put down; excellent book; ended up purchasing the remaining 9 in this series; now to get back to reading!
Great read!
Very readable
It does get a little rigid in its writing at times but the characters are so likeable that I enjoyed reading this first book in the series and then I went and bought the next several.
I just love the characters it’s a page-turner I can’t put it down allergic reaction you think something’s going one way and then it change it keeps you in suspense
I couldn’t put it down
second time reading this as could only remember some parts and it was well worth while. Great fast paced, no swearing or sex and enough twists to keep you engaged.
A good book but frightening for our country.
well written, enjoyed!
Sam Prichard is a cop already feeling the effects of burn out when a case related incident ends his career. As he struggles to reclaim his life and purpose, he encounters new dangers and adventures. A good, solid read worth undertaking.
I enjoyed the characters in the first book so I had to read this one. Just as good
Very good read! Sam knows how to get things done! He gets help from unlikely people along the way! Working on a kidnapped child he unravels more than he thought! Finding the kid he uncovers some nefarious people who do nefarious things! Leave it to Sam to be nefarious right back them! He’s a badass and gets mean when a situation calls for it! David Archer is a very good offer buy this book people it’s action-packed
I loved this book. Blooming romance which I hope ends in happily ever after.
