Wow! This was an emotionally tear jerking read. Domestic violence isn’t limited to low income households. Lindsey, a rich man’s wife, knows this all to well. Her husband, Elliot, beat and rapes her on a regular basis. When she goes to help her pregnant sister on the West coast while her husband is out of the country on business for a few months …
I have been waiting for this book ever since I read the first book in the series. There is just something about abusive stories that tugs at my heart. I think she believed that she deserved the abuse because of what her father did to her sister. In her own way it was punishment for not noticing nor paying attention to her sister when she was …
Leanne Davis is an author who writes books where the characters feel totally real, and this book continues using that winning formula. Like most of the books by Ms Davis, The Good Sister is a fantastic read, and the further into the book the read gets, the more difficult the book becomes to set down.
When we first met Lindsay on the last book, I wasn’t sure whether I liked her or not. After getting to know her and the life The was Liv g, I felt for her. She had to deal with so much in a tragic way. I loved Noah for her. Their rocky trip to get together and how the book ended made it an interesting read
Totally entertaining.
This book is about Lindsey, Jessie’s sister, who overcame domestic abuse. About her husband who is one person in public and another at home. This happens a lot. I hope this book helps someone see that it’s not their fault they’re being abused.
I enjoyed this book and have read two more in the series. All were good.
Another amazing book by this author this is Lindsey & Noah’s book and wow did this book get my emotions from the spouse abuse from her husband to her actually being treated right by her sisters friend!
Just like the first book this is a bit of a confronting read, however it is done well and will have you wanting to read more in this series. Lindsay is the good sister from book one, she got all the praise growing up, followed in her farther’s footsteps with the military and having a great career in it, then it all changed after she met and …
Wow the things Lindsey hide and went through. After visiting her sister and having some freedom she doesn’t want to return home to her husband. This book is about domestic abuse and OMG you won’t be able to put it down. After reading this you can understand what the abuse does to them and why they stay.Definitely a book to read more like devour
What an amazing story. The topic is so intense and this book addresses it so beautifully. Lindsay is the surviour. I love how she doesnt just gloss over anything you see and feel everything
a must read for people who don’t understand domestic violence. I found the book to be fascinating & couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the ending which was unexpected & heartwarming.
I have read this entire series. Wonderfully entertaining!
2nd in series – difficult to find 1st!
This was a good book. Just right.
I absolutely love this book! It had me hooked during the first chapter! I wish it was the first book in the series that was free. I did end up purchasing the entire sister series!
While this book may not be the next Black and Blue (Anna Quindlen), it brings to life the pain and desperation of women in abusive relationships and hopefully helps to raise awareness. Could we not stop asking ‘why didn’t you get out?’ and start offering understanding and support to facilitate the means? Davis fictionalizes real life happenings, …
The characters were very believable and hard to put down.
A very twisted tale with all kinds of surprises. You will not be able to put this book down.
The depths that many women will go to hide their true state of misery in a domestic life is very hard to understand.. How can I understand it if they most cannot understand it themselves. This book did a good job of showing all sides of this terrible problem.
