Sometimes good things are nearer than expected. Margery has a nothing job, a nothing marriage, and zero self-esteem. Angie has everything she could ever want, except a life of her own making. Talia is overwhelmed by her pregnancy, by handling her career, and by caring for her toddler and a home-bound husband who needs a new heart. Gennifer has a high-powered career and a family that’s learned to … to fend without her. Gladys has never been married and approaches her golden years alone with failing eyesight. For the patrons of Neighbor’s Drugstore, the key to a rich, fulfilled life is closer than they think, if only they can open their hearts to the good nearby.

Any thing from Nancy Moser is fantastic.
I liked the main characters and the way the author interwove their lives but I hated the way it ended and that the reader is supposed to be okay with the whole thing.
While it was somewhat predictable, the book was uplifting and reminded me of what really matters in life. Being the “Good Nearby” is a great way to live!
I really like how the diverse characters connect to one another and I like the message to be the good nearby.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were real, with good qualities and some not so good qualities. The title is what drew me to the book. The Good Nearby. It is really about how our choices affect and intertwine with the people around us. The characters in the book had very little in common and were pretty much wrapped up in their own lives until one person entered and affected each of them in different ways.
Loved it…stories help me to see from different perspectives.
Usually I can figure out what will happen in a book within the first two chapters or so. This one had me guessing to the end. Well written.
I cried a lot reading this book. All through the book she shows God is always there waiting for us to turn to Him and when we do he has His arms open wide to take us in to love and comfort us
A great story! At first it was a challenge… like a puzzle with the characters & settings. As the characters meet it isn’t so fragmented. It has an inspiring ending. Well worth your time to read.
A new favorite. A combination of tears and joy at the end.
Awesome book.
Good to the end
Truly loved reading this entire book.
I loved the book.
Life surely isn’t always rosey. And this is one of those stories. At 64, i really enjoyed reading this one.
This is a very interesting book that is realistic and thought provoking. While it is sometimes difficult to follow traversing from past to present. The characters are well developed and totally believable. It was close to the end when I figured out what was going to happen. My favorite theme in the book was when you don’t understand what is happening, God is up to something. Well written, easy reading. Great book with a great purpose.
This is a great read with an unusual twist of organ donation and all the good it does.
Loved it!
This was really one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I could not put it down and I just hated for it to end. What a wonderful author and fabulous book. I just can’t say enough good things about it. To the author. Thank you so much for such an inspiring and special book.
Excellent read!
