Book selection is a big deal for me. Not only is it my livelihood, but life is just too short to read a bad book. As a life long avid reader and a librarian, it’s not often that I’m surprised by a book. Call it discernment or intuition or just experience, I rarely bother with reads I’m not certain I’ll love. I was not certain about this one and …
The fictional parts were well woven into the historical parts of the story and helped that bit of Welsh history to really stand out. I was surprised to find that aspects that I thought were randomly tossed in to pack in more action were actually the historical bits. I look forward to indulging in the next installment.
The daughter of the bard is in the perfect position to keep her eyes and ears open for information. When Gwen and her family come across an ambush, and the man she loved investigating what had happened, she becomes swept into solving the mystery.
The writing for this novel is clean, crisp, and I love it. The characters come to life from the first …
Love the Gareth and Gwen mysteries. Look forward to each new book as it comes out.
I enjoy her writing
An interesting historical fiction story with good character development. It was an entertaining read with twists and turns along the way.
Definitely worth a read
Good character building. Enjoyed reading, although slightly predictable
I enjoy medieval tales very much. I like ones that are similar to the Cadfael tales by Ellis Peters so this fit my tastes.
It was enjoyable. A light read.
I just love Medieval!
A Good Knight by Sarah Goodbury
Loved this Medieval jaunt! The characters were interesting and relatable, with a slow burn attraction that you can feel through the pages. Some of the speech and wording was more modern but it didn’t deter my enjoyment of the story.
Clean
Sarah Woodbury is an extraordinary author. Her research is now impeccable, her characters so well crafted, her stories gripping.
Do make up your own names for those you cant pronounce as this will keep you reading smoothly. Great ending in that I didnt expect it at all.

A great read on a weekend when you do not have to put the book down.
Wonderful story and characters.
Perfect covid-era reading as the story takes you back 5-6 centuries in Wales
