Enjoyed it
This trilogy is a true depiction of China. Not the China we know now, but the China before it “opened up”!
One of my favorites. I read it in high school and wanted to reread it. It was a good read the second time. Timeless story. And I love Chinese stories.
a great generational story
Love of China, its history and its people. Pearl Buck has a wonderful way of developing engaging characters and creating vivid imagery.
Absolutely loved the books.
Timeless
It’s always interesting to see how other cultures attack the universal issues of family and relationships.

Great family saga.
A not-to-be-missed trilogy about Chinese peasant life by one who viewed it open eyed but sympathetically.
