Never cross a Fae prince. And for Sky’s sake, don’t fall in love with one determined to ruin you.
Crispin
Lark Elmray is a show-off and a shameless flirt. The highborn females don’t understand the game he’s playing, but I do.
Everything changed after he became the golden boy, protector of the crown and a powerful wielder of fire magic. Get too close and he’s likely to light a faerie on fire.
… too close and he’s likely to light a faerie on fire.
I made the mistake of mocking him as a child. Lark hasn’t forgotten. I can see it in the wicked gleam of his eyes every time he looks my way. But that’s not the worst of it. To admit the truth would burn me from the inside out before Lark ever conjured a single flame.
Lark
Half elf. Half Fae. For most of my life, the illustrious citizens of Dahlquist scorned me for being a halfling prince born into an unconventional family. The gentry would sooner sneer than curtsy . . . Until I showed them what I was capable of. Now they fawn and clamor for my favor. But I will never forget past cruelties. I will make them regret every insult to me and my family. At the top of my list is Crispin Maglen, Earl of Ashcraw.
He’ll always be at the top. But there’s no taking him down. Not unless I fall with him.
It’s all getting a bit out of control. I have family squabbling over me, females flinging themselves into my arms, assassins and kidnappers trying to take me down . . . And don’t get me started on the monster in the forest.
The Golden Prince is an enemies to lovers, slow burn, coming of age, new adult, M/M romance filled with humor, adventure, steam, and magical creatures. Don’t miss the bloopers at the end of the book!
Complete, standalone novella. Can be read on its own. The first in the second generation, Royal Conquest Saga continuation.

It’s great to be back in the Royal Conquest world. This story is with the children of the original characters from the first books. This is a M/M relationship story and it’s not my sort of thing to read. However, author Nikki Jefford does a great job keeping it tasteful and entertaining. It’s a great story about love. Nikki Jefford also does such a great job with continuing to build this world. I am looking forward to what is up with the next daughter or son of the next generation in the next book.
love is love
golden companion to the royal conquest saga! This can be read as a stand-alone because the trilogy is over and this is just about the young heirs lives! I loved lark when he got introduced as a young boy and its nice to se who he turn out to be! Love has no boundaries, color, race and sex. This boy always knew who he wanted m/m romance. This was new to me reading an M/M romance without a female lead (menage or RH) and i was surprised i enjoyed it. i read it with my kindle unlimited
I have loved every book in this series to date but I think this one was my favourite!!
Lark is living his best life as Crowned Prince of Dahlquist. He has all the women he could ever want practically throwing themselves at him but he doesn’t want any woman he wants Crispin, his arch nemesis. The connection between them is so damn hot I’m surprised sparks weren’t flying off my kindle.
Nikki has outdone herself with this one, she has brought passion, humorous banter, and plenty of action. Once you start it you will not want to put it down until you’ve finished it but then once you’ve finished it you will want to go back and read it again.
I was surprised to find myself enjoying this book! I always enjoy Nikki Jefford’s writing style, so even though male/male romances are not my cup of tea (it took me a while to figure out what an “M/M romance was), I enjoyed the story. It is fun to see Lark grow and mature. Looks like he will be a really good ruler in the future, especially with the mitigating influence of Crispin.
I was beyond excited to return to Dahlquist and their extravagant balls! I love seeing Lark grow up and find his soul mate and embark on a new journey. This book has everything from love to adventure. I can’t wait to see where the next adventure takes us!
What an adventure for the charming Golden Prince, Lark. He is so swoon worthy and such a flirt. He definitely broke a lot of ladies hearts when he found his soulmate. He steps up to fight for the love that has just revealed itself and it leads them on an unexpected path that brings forth just how strong their love is for each other. The book is a little different but is just as amazing as the rest of the series including the introduction of new mythical creatures. I am so looking forward to the next adventure.
Great continuation to the series. Though this is a M/M relationship & I normally won’t read that sort of thing, it was done tastefully. I really liked the opening ball, and picturing all the undersea type clothes they were all wearing. The tension between Lark & Crispin is off the charts, and they are perfect for each other. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I loved Lark’s novella! The progression of his character is so perfect and made me appreciate him even more when thinking back to Holiday Crown. Although he reminds me of Liri, probably why he fits in, he is all Mel. His story is so touching and I’m so in love with this series.
The Elmarys are back in spectacular fashion. This time the adventure centers around the next generation of young royals. Lark Elmary, Lyklor, Ryo and Mel’s son, is living he best life being crowned prince of Dahlquist. He has females throwing themselves at him left and right, but it’s only one person he’s got eyes for. Can his arch nemesis, Crispin, became his lifetime mate? Lark and Crispin’s chemistry sizzles off the pages.
Not to be outdone by his parents or aunt Arieth, Lark embaks on an adventure to revival theirs. This book has passion, witty banter, action, and of course adventure along with mystical creatures and great feats of bravery. There are new characters to love, and hate, as well as old favorites. Nikki Jefford delivers another great installment in this magnificent series. Crispin and Lark’s love story will be one for the ages. A definite 5 plus star rating.
