Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy! She’s good at achieving her goals… shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.
But the game just got a whole lot more complicated
Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist.

I read this one after reading Kick, Push & Coast and all I could think was another man with the patience of a saint. Tucker was downright amazing and I loved everything about him. He was so perfect. Knew exactly what he wanted put wasn’t pushing and obnoxious but at the same time wasn’t going to let Sabrina walk away. Sabrina, on the other hand, I didn’t really care for. Her need to push Tucker away all the time and refuse to rely on him when he promised to be there and wanted to be there really irked me. I knew where she was coming from but her stubbornness lasted entirely too long.
“My goal, once upon a time, was to succeed. I didn’t realize that success wasn’t grades or scholarships or achievements, but the people I was lucky enough to have in my life.”
Alright, “The Goal” has most definitely been my most anticipated Off-Campus book. I’m writing this review after my first full readthrough where I actually sat down and read all the chapters in order. But I’ve read some random chapters here and there (basically the last 15 chapters of the book) at least 3 separate times. So I’ve known for a while that this is probably my favorite Off-Campus book, and fully reading the book for the first time did nothing to change that.
Sabrina James has her future completely planned out. She’s going to graduate college, attend Harvard law, and earn her place in a top law firm to finally make her way out of her terrible home. But what she didn’t plan for was John Tucker. Sabrina has no time for boyfriends, but Tucker and his good manners and southern charm just keeps weaseling their way into her heart. Just when Sabrina realizes she may be able to have the future she wants and a relationship with Tucker, a positive pregnancy test changes everything.
I absolutely loved this book, and it boggles my mind how this is most people’s least favorite Off-Campus book and couple. Sabrina and Tucker were finally a breath of fresh air from the almost identical stories of the first three books. I understand that people don’t like pregnancy trope, and that’s a valid opinion. But I love pregnancy trope and I think it fits so well for Tucker and Sabrina. Tucker is just meant to be a dad. I think I loved Tucker so much just because of how different he is from the other OC boys. He’s a gentleman, he doesn’t only use women for pleasure, and he was insanely supportive and patient with Sabrina. He may not be the most interesting character in most people’s eyes, but he’s 100% the sweetest and that’s what matters to me. Sabrina was also amazing. I really love damaged characters, and Sabrina definitely has her fair share of damage. She was on her own for basically her entire life, so it felt really natural and realistic for how long it took her to really accept that Tucker wasn’t going to abandon her like everyone else, and that it was actually okay to love him. Their relationship together was the absolute cutest thing, and them raising Jamie together was even better. I really could go on and on about how amazing this couple was, but I think you should read the book and see for yourself.
I’m sad the Off-Campus series is over, but I’m glad it went out with the bang that was “The Goal”. I loved absolutely everything about this book, so I’m giving it 5/5 stars. I’ve seen some early reviews for “The Legacy” that have me slightly worried for Tucker and Sabrina’s story, but I’m sure I’ll love it and will be happy with any extra content I can get from this couple.
I know this is probably the lowest rated book from the series but I have to tell you. This is my favourite!
Why? Because I think I’m starting to be a real adult and cute romantic stories where a star hockey player finds his love isn’t enough so I need a cute romantic story where the sexy hockey player finds his love AND has a baby with her! I’m such a motherhen…
John Tucker is my favourite from the boys because he’s a fighter! He fights for his love and don’t give up when his life doesn’t turn out he’d expected!
I’ve never had someone fight for me or stick beside me through hell for a long time exept my family! People tend to leave when life gets hard and when you have someone who sticks with you.. well that’s probably amazing but as I said I don’t know!
Sabrina James is close to me as she’s alone and she has no real family to support her! She can only resolve things by herself and I 100% get that! It’s really hard for me to reach out for help, to reach out to people who are close to me!
This story of an unexpected pregnancy is the cutest and most moving story of the four! I know people not usually sign up for family stuff but as I said earlier I’m a homemaker and a man who’s ready for making a family is everything!
Read the books! They are cute and funny and moving and loveable and amuzing!
This has to be my favorite book in the series. Who wouldn’t love Tucker with his laid back attitude and that dirty talk. He left me fanning myself a time or two.
He is instantly attracted to the stubborn Sabrina James. She has not had it easy. She has had to fight for everything she has. She was determined to achieve her goals despite her home life. She spends a lot of her time keeping her guard up and hiding herself from the world.
Her and Tucker were suppose to be a one-time deal. But we all know what happens to best laid plans. It isn’t until an unexpected event has her reaching for Tucker.
Tucker has the patience of a saint. He never pushes her. He just bids his time. Being the supportive person that he always has been. Waiting for Sabrina to let down her guard and let him in. When she finally does it’s amazing.
I am sad to see this series end but can’t wait to start the new series. Hopefully we will still see these characters make little appearances.
“My goal, once upon a time, was to succeed. I didn’t realize that success wasn’t grades or scholarships or achievements, but the people I was lucky enough to have in my life.”
Tucker really played a number on me. He blow my mind. I never thought someone like him could exist . He’s the sweetest, the most kind human being ever.
He is a real man , who isn’t afraid to show his true feelings .He has a plan , and when he wants something nothing is gonna stop him , no matter what.
And when he fist saw Sabrina James, he know something amazing was coming and he was ready to fight for it. And a man sure of himself is the sexiest thing ever.
“Because love is the ultimate goal. It’s not the one I had strived for, but I was lucky enough, so lucky, to achieve it.”
Sabrina also has a plan ,she has every second of her life occupied , working two jobs and studying to stay at the top of her class just waiting for the moment she has always dreamed about, Harvard Law school.
What she didn’t realized is that nothing ever goes as planned . And surely a baby and a sexy baby daddy wasn’t in the picture.
Their journey was a real slow burn , filled with so much passion and chemistry . I literally couldn’t put it down.
“We all hurt. We all love. We’re the same. And your past, who you live with, where you came from, it doesn’t have to matter. You’re creating your own future, and I want to see where the road forward takes you.”
It was one of the most enjoyable ride on a rollercoaster of emotions and the best way to bring to an end this amazing series that made us all dream about sexy and passionate hockey players.
I SIMPLY LOVED IT.
I gave it 5 stars
I hope you’ll enjoy it like I did.
The Goal is officially my favorite book in the Off-Campus series.
I was excited for this book while reading all the others, because I knew it contained an accidental pregnancy and I’m alllll for that. Elle Kennedy handled the accidental pregnancy trope so well, and I also think she did a great job tackling the topic of abortion and a woman’s right to choose. Speaking of women… I loved Sabrina. What a badass. A literal superhuman that did what had to be done!!! Sabrina has worked her ass off since she was young to achieve her goals and dreams, and to even just keep her head above water. She doesn’t have much, but she’s worked her ass off for what she has and she’s proud of it. Same with Tucker. He’s a young college hockey player, but because of his upbringing his head is screwed on straight. He appreciates things and doesn’t take them for granted. When push comes to shove, he makes the sacrifices he needs to make for his family without hesitation.
A man; a TRUE family man.
I can see myself rereading this book for years to come. It was so freaking good, and I can’t wait to continue on with the Briar U series soon!
** spoiler alert ** After LOVING the previous trilogy, I was excited to read the final book following the fourth hockey star; John Tucker.
The previous book left us on a cliff hanger with Tuck surprising everyone **don’t read on for spoiler from The Score** stating he has gotten Sabrina pregnant.
This story then intertwines with the story told in The Score, but from Sabrina and Tuck’s view.
I was actually surprised about it. This story was a true romance. I was thinking it may be a slow burn while they figure out parent life together. But nope. They connected and they fell quite hard for each other, even before Jamie was born.
I loved how the author told their story. It was positive, upbeat and I am so happy Sabrina stuck at her goal at making it through Harvard.
Overall, 4 Stars.
Sabrina James knows what she wants and will do everything in her power to achieve her goals. She studies hard, she has been accepted into law school, she is so close to leave her awful home… But she did not see Tucker coming. This hockey player wants her and not just for one night. When she concedes to give Tucker a place in her life, she didn’t think her whole project will be changed. When she discovers that she is pregnant, she will have to reconsider her goals and her relationship with Tucker. While she has doubts, he knows exactly what he wants: a life with her and their baby. He will just have to convince her…
The Goal was… such a surprise. I usually hate novels where girls get pregnant way too easily, but this one is so well written. Sabrina is one of my favourite female characters of the series, she is strong-minded, she will do anything to have the life she has always dreamed of. Her pregnancy is not idealised, her life doesn’t become a dream come true after the baby is born, she has to fight for it. While Tucker is just the perfect guy, he is not ashamed of his feelings and will always support Sabrina. And let me tell you, I have a thing for dads, but this one was way too hot. What a wonderful book to finish the Off-Campus series.
This is Book 4 of the Off-Campus Series
This is the story of Tucker & Sabrina. Tucker is a senior at Briar U. Sabrina is also a senior at Briar U, but lives in Boston. Tucker and Sabrina meet at the bar the hockey players go to all the time. They look at each other in lust. Usually she’s a one-time hookup girl. Him, no so much. After a few hookups, it’s surprise, surprise. Sabrina, although strong, walks around emotionally inept when it comes to Tucker. Tucker just loves her from the start. There are funny times, sad times, emotional times, good times and bad times, but all in all they do stick together. This is a great book to read. As a matter of fact, this whole series is a great series to read. I was really enthralled with the whole thing. I love Elle Kennedy’s writing and am looking forward to more of it.
Sabrina James had her life all planned out – go to Harvard and be a lawyer, and that meant, no hockey players allowed. Until John Tucker got her pregnant. She wanted to keep the child, but she also still wanted her dream to turn into reality. Tucker wouldn’t stand a chance in her future, except for being a baby daddy.
I wasn’t really expecting to like this book so much, seeing that this had quite a more serious topic – early pregnancy. At first I thought, oh man, Tucker is gonna be a father and his baby mama isn’t really that nice at all…
But when I finally got to the end, I was like, “Wow! John Tucker is the man! Curse you Sabrina for prolonging his agony, ugh!” I got it, I mean I knew where Sabrina was coming from, what with all her hesitations and doubts about Tucker and their child. The woman had dreams and she was determined to wing it. An unexpected pregnancy had put a downer on her plans, but hey, at least she decided to keep the child, right? Her feelings for Tucker were understandable. I grew to like her more in the end when she finally realized what a fool she was to take Tucker for granted. All’s well that ends well, that’s what people say. And boy, Tucker’s finally got it all right in the end. Oh yeah!
OMG… I’d like to place an order for a John Tucker special please? With cherry on top, pretty please?
Tucker is officially on my number 1 list of book boyfriend from the Off Campus series. Sorry Dean, you have been dethroned. And thank you Elle, for a wonderful series! Can’t wait to read more of her upcoming books. Yay!
The Off-Campus series has been one that I have enjoyed tremendously. I absolutely love surprise baby stories, and The Goal fit that perfectly. I loved that the main characters really struggled with their decision. It was real and raw. I loved Tucker with his southern mannerisms, and the strength and independence, and perseverance that Sabrina had to pull herself up in the world. I highly recommend all of the Off-Campus books, But I think that The Goal is my favorite!!
Amazing
* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *
I love this series and the world created by the author is so addictive. I just want to read more, always more….
It’s so good and filled with passion and joy, love and lust.
All the characters is well described with flaws and their own personalities which makes them realistic.
The chemistry between the main characters is sizzling hot and I feel sad for Tucker at some point. He is a patient man
The love scenes is sweet and intense, just as I like it.
Getting to meet all the previous characters from this series is a big bonus. I love them all.
Narrators:
Good and clear pronunciation and read with feelings so it’s easy to get in to the story.
Dive in to this series if you haven’t already, 5 stars for wonderful entertainment.
First time reading this author’s work and I can say this will be repeated. The Goal is about a college hockey player, John Tucker who falls for a girl who is every man’s wet dream. Sabrina James is determined to pull herself up and make something of her life and she has no time for anything other than sex, no repeats, no relationships, got no time for that! Sabrina works two jobs while going to college full time, studying, and making sure she gets accepted to Harvard Law School. You can plan your life but what happens when life has other plans for you? This was a quick, fun read.

Perfect book to read fast and love it!
**5 Stars**
I was dying to read this book after the teaser in The Score. Dean was replaced by Tucker as my re Off-Campus man! Elle did an amazing job on Tucker and Sabrina’ story and it not disappoint.
Tucker is amazing. Playing hockey at Briar is something he loves, but with all of his friends starting to get girlfriends, he is feeling something missing. Hitting up a bar after practice or game isn’t something unusual for him or his buddies, but the love at first feeling with Sabrina he has while at Malone’s is something he wasn’t prepared. Tucker is my favorite Off-Campus man because of his caring and responsible side. He works hard for where he is and doesn’t take things for granted.
Sabrina has no time for men. She works two jobs and is pre-law, getting accepted into Harvard Law is her dream. Meeting and falling for Tucker wasn’t something she had on her radar or something she wanted to do. She fought and then she got pregnant. Sabrina’s character is amazing. It shows how when you’re determined enough you don’t let little things stop you, especially when you have goals to better yourself.
Tucker loves fiercely, but he does it in a way that allowed Sabrina to love him back and to move at her own pace… even after they found out she was pregnant. Tucker and Sabrina’s story is my favorite of the Off-Campus series. I love how it started and I love how it ended. They both deserve the HEA they received at the end and the life they created together.
I was kinda let down. I was so excited for this book, but I just never clicked with the Hero and Heroine. Especially the Heroine – I never grew to like her. Was still overall a good read, just not as particularly satisfying as hoped.
I was so glad to finally have Tucker’s story ‘cuz I loved him in the previous books. I really liked the romance between Sabrina and Tucker.
Sabrina never had it easy and wants to get into Harvard for law school. She doesn’t have time for boyfriends, only for one night stands. But when she meets Tucker, sparks fly. Even though she tries to deny the connection, she can’t seem to get him out of her head. Same goes for Tucker. The instant he meets Sabrina, he wants her entirely. Although a mutual ‘friend’ warns him to stay away, he just can’t. Both worlds collide even further and one night changes it all… Will Sabrina let go and let Tucker into her heart or is there only heartbreak coming…
Find out in the final book of the On Campus series…
Defnitely a 4,5 star for me; sad to see this series come to an end.
I had high expectations for Tucker’s story because he is a gem in the other books. I was kind of disappointed with this one after reading The Score it kind of dropped for me The Goal did.
Sabrina, I understood her actions so much when it came to Tucker and the baby and trying to do it herself so she wasn’t holding him back. I loved that she was trying to be selfless but at times it did get annoying at times but Sabrina was such a kind-hearted person.
Tucker, he is honestly my favourite but during this one, I felt like he lost his sparkle a little. I understood why but I missed his normal character, that being said he was amazing taking Sabrina on and the baby. I loved seeing Tucker with a baby, it was so cute! I also loved Sabrina and Tucker’s relationship they were so cute and I just loved it. They both settled into a little family and they were both so cute. I loved how supportive Tucker was whilst Sabrina was at school, and their little family unit.
I hated Roy oh my god he was disgusting to Sabrina, throughout this book I was like will somebody just hit him with a bus?! There was literally a scene where Sabrina was breastfeeding her baby and he came onto her and when Tucker walked in I had never been so glad. He was horrible. Nana, she was another character I didn’t like she treated Sabrina so badly, although I do have to say Nana redeemed herself when baby Jamie came. But so many times through this I got mad at these two characters like Tucker was doing the best he could to protect her and he managed to move them both out into a place of their own. They were the perfect family unit.
So adorable. I loved this story but still to me it didn’t have the same thing Allie and Dean
