Wow! Only LC can make you cry, scream and turn the pages so fast to see what is gonna happen next! After loosing her husband, Jesse finds comfort in his brother who has always been a great friend and who has always loved her. Then twists and turns……. (Don’t wanna give it away) but she finds herself in a situation where she has to make a choice that will forever change her future. LC killed this book and I loved it!
Talk about a roller coaster of emotions. Happiness ~ sad ~ angry ~ romantic ~ torture ~ elated and so much more ! But the sadness…I cried. I’m a mom of two wonderful Marines and thinking about this situation is sooo sad. This is a must read. I want to read the next book! This title was fitting.
I was gripped by Jesse’s tale of loss and recovery right from the beginning.
The author showed the characters vulnerability, grief and struggle to rejoin her life after a tragic loss.
With her family, immediate and extended, rallying around her Jesse begins to come back to herself.
Initially ignoring her feelings of attraction for her housemate and ex-classmate AJ, Jesse allows him to coax her out of her shell.
I read this through in one sitting and enjoyed all of the bumps in the road, wishing all the time for Jesse to get her happy ending…
An enjoyable read for a lazy afternoon.
3 1/2 I was very intrigued by this story, I was curious as to how things would play out knowing there were several twists and turns to come in Jesse’s life. When I first started the book I found it very repetitive and couldn’t quite get into it but once I hit about the halfway mark things sped up and I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. I felt so torn for Jesse, AJ and Alex. They were all in such a terrible situation and my heart hurt for them. So much happened in such a short span of the book I felt breathless but also content. I will definitely be picking up the second book in this series because I feel like these characters have so much more in store for them.
You know those stories that pulled you in and won’t let go of you?
Well, this is one of those stories. I started this story today and I couldn’t put it down until I reached the end. And then I kept reading, and I can’t wait to read Bound.
This was a very enjoyable read. It was a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish. It had all the feels. Steamy and sweet, romantic with drama, heart wrenching at times. I definitely recommend it.
. . This really was fabulous and a must read.
Jesse and AJ’s story is beautiful, emotional, and heartwarming. They are both great characters. I like the family spirit in this story. Lacey Gilleran did a good job with the narration. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
3.5 stars
The storyline is really interesting. I was a little worried about how Alex would come back to the living.
The issue I had was with the narration, it felt rushed. I wanted to get into the story and feel the characters emotions but I couldn’t at most times. Overall the story was good!
