I think this a good book for children, because it has a good lesson and it’s easy-to-read, Entertaining, Happily Ever After, and an Original.
First time reading. This is kind of sad. The tree gives and gives until she has nothing left to give. All she wants is for the boy to be happy. Of course he just takes and takes. Only comes back when he’s not happy.
Don’t be the person who takes all the time in a relationship.
I despise the boy – what a selfish prig – and I am sad for the tree. I do not recommend this book at all.
This is a classic for children and adults alike and reminds us how to take care of one another.
