Justice with a vengeance.Imagine if you were offered a choice: give up your freedom or watch the people closest to you lose theirs. What would you do?When international fugitive Sydney Rye turns herself over to authorities in order to protect the vigilante network she inspired, her freedom depends on helping Homeland Security shift the tides in a war for “hearts and minds.” Sydney Rye is tasked … in a war for “hearts and minds.” Sydney Rye is tasked with the perfect assignment: recruit female fighters to take on jihadists. Being killed by a woman is the only thing extremists fear because they believe it bars their entrance to Heaven. But when the director who enlisted Sydney Rye is killed, and the deal she made is scrapped, Sydney and Blue are left in a war zone, hunted by both the U.S. government and jihadists.

Main character not entirely convincing, but a fun read.
Love Sydney books
I really enjoyed this one. A new, original character (with a new, original dog!). For the first time, we are able to enjoy something we haven’t read a hundred times before. Go back to the first in the series and watch the development and growth of a character. In most of the other action yarns, the protagonist comes to us fully-formed. Here, we watch the character develop as her stories progress. I strongly recommend you start with the first one and follow through the series chronologically. That said, this is still a helluva yarn, which will stand on its own, even if you haven’t read the ones that precede it.
I like folks with a good attitude. She take a good analytical approach to issues.
WAS A GOOD READ FROM START TO FINISH.
Love this series.
So So – skipped a lot of pages, this was just okay.
Too much of a feminist agenda
I like this author’s main character with the dog.
I liked book 8 so much that I had to get book 9. Love the characters and all the action in the story.
Could not finish it. I liked her other books. This one was just juvenile, in my opinion. I don’t have time to get specific, but the premise was ludicrous. Dang dog nudged her in the thigh for the umpteenth time and I’d had enough. Sorry.
Like all of the books in this series!
Love the Sydney Rye series. I learn so much about the world from these great books.
To me, this series is tough and gritty. I don’t always like books like this, but for some reason I like the way the author keeps the reader looking to see what will happen next. I also appreciate the devotion of the lead character to her dog.
Enjoyable. Different
Sidney Rye’s adventures are always entertaining.
This book was a departure from my regular western books but I found it to be highly exciting book that I would recommend to my friends.
Loved this book and looking forward to reading more of this author’s writing.
This series “ not always realistic “ but always goes in uninspected ways, and is always entertaining.
Emily Kimelman is a great writer.
