Could not stop reading this book. The translation sometimes made me pause and go back to figure out exactly what was being portrayed.
Loved the whole series.
Once you get past the slow start, it gets really good. Suspenseful and exciting.
This entire series is spectacular. I wish the author hadn’t died. Other Swedish authors have tried to fill his shoes, but…sorry…no dice. This is the genuine article. One of the best creepy, irristable, white-knuckle thrillers of the last century. No guff.
One of those books that I just couldn’t get into.
This is one of my favorite books. I like the relationship between the two main characters and I like the strong female role.
Wonderful start to a fascinating trilogy. Read this book before you see the movie!
Love this book and the series!!!
I originally listed to this book on tape. It was so good that I purchased 2 other books starring Lisbeth Salandar. I bought “The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo” just to reread it and enjoy it all again. Fabulous series.
Good light read but certainly nothing particularly original or of major literary value. Way over hyped.
I loved Steig Larsson’s books! How easy it could have been to judge the main character because of her quirkiness & unruly mannerisms. But as the book unfolds & you glimpse into her past, you began to appreciate her survival instincts & her intelligence. Great read!
Awesome book. It is part of a trilogy. I read one after the other. I suppose you could read each independently, but the 2nd and 3rd books do have references to the books before. This character is hard to like, but you like her anyway. You learn more about her throughout the story. btw, the movies are awesome as well.
The first 2 books were amazing. The third got bogged down in government details.
Thoroughly enjoyed
The character of Liz Salander is fascinating, and the writing is excellent.
One of the best books I’ve ever read.
It passed the time, but was not very interesting and seemed to drag.
Enjoyed all three in the series..
This is a great 3 book series. I loved all 3
A combination of feelings can be harvested from the raw soil this books throw to your face. Strong and violent characters just adjusted to the heroin strengths.
