There is some serious violence against women in this whole series, apparently or reportedly to speak out against violence against women. Hmm. In any case, the book is not for the faint of heart and requires a strong stomach and an ability to suspend belief (“It’s only a bad dream, Dorothy,” said Auntie Em).
