Excellent mystery set in 1930s California. Good characters; didn’t see who-dun-it coming. Recommended.
Although I did enjoy this book it is not one of my favorites. I had trouble getting into and kept putting it down. Not sure why I wasn’t as interested as she is a favorite author.
Slow moving.Sorry I bought it.
Though not the Regency era that I expected, I loved this peek into 1930’s Hollywood set.
I love all of Amanda Quick’s books !!
Not up to the quality of her Victorian bodice – rippers. Slow and confusing
I enjoy Amanda Quick’s stories…her mysteries keep you guessing.
Kept me interested. Loved the characters and their abilities.
I have been enjoying Amanda Quick’s books for several years, and this book is no exception. A great mystery/romance. Quick weaves a tale set in the 1930’s that is both intriguing and suspenseful. Every time I thought I had this mystery figured out, another twist would take place and I’d be back to square one. Irene is a spit-fire that keeps Oliver on his toes. Only time will tell if these two will form the alliance needed to solve the mysteries piling up in The Girl Who Knew Too Much.
A new time for Jayne. Loved it!
Throughly enjoyed this book! It’s been a long time since I sat down and started a book that grabbed me immediately like this one. From the first chapter, i was hooked and finished it several hours later. Loved the characters and hope I see them in future books.
I want this to be made into a movie
Quick (aka Jayne Ann Krentz), once again dazzles the reader with her newest romantic suspense novel. The story takes place in1930’s Burning Cove centering on multiple murders and of course movie stars. Irene Glasson flees her past job when she finds her employer murdered and takes off after finding money in a box, a mysterious scientific book and a note from her employer telling her to trust no one and run. Irene ends up in LA and becomes a reporter for a gossip type newspaper which leads her to the arms of Oliver Ward when she finds a body in his hotel. Oliver, is an illusionist who almost died during his last public appearance and now owns a hotel that is a private getaway for movie stars and the rich and famous. The story is quick paced and the murders pile up. The romance of Glasson and Ward fit right into the mysteries of both Glasson’s past and Ward’s accident during his last performance. Settle down for a good read.
Looking forward to the next in this series
