The stunning third and final novel in Stieg Larsson’s internationally best-selling trilogy
Lisbeth Salander–the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels–lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three … for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge–against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.
Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back.

If you haven’t read the Millennium Trilogy, by all means read them in order. I loved all three books but this one I found absolutely edge of my seat, stayed up all night turning (virtual) pages, breathtaking! Ms. Salander has come a long way and I quite literally cried when I finished knowing that this fantastic author would write no more.
Lisbeth Salander, Larsson’s main character is in critical condition with a bullet wound to her head. She fights for her life in the physical sense of making it out of intensive care from a Swedish hospital, but she’s also going to have to prove she’s innocent when she stands trial for three murders and she’ll do this with the help of the …
It took me a while to get through this book because it was full of some many details, twists and turns, and action packed. It starts off with Lisbeth and her father in the hospital and ends with the the trial of the century, Lisbeth’s trial. Left to her own defenses, Lisbeth enlists the help of the only ones she can trust. Resisting authority puts …
The final episode in the trilogy finds Lisbeth recovering from near-fatal gunshot wounds, and approaching her trial. A guilty verdict would result in long-term commitment. The secret group within the Swedish Intelligence Agency is working hard to ensure that Lisbeth will have no credibility in court. Mikael Blomkvist is working to try and uncover …
I read this series by the original author, Stieg Larsson, and couldn’t get enough of this series. Unfortunately, he died prior to releasing any of the further books for the series and the story has been taken up by his son. I haven’t read them yet but I’ll let you know if they’re as good as the original ones, which would be really making a …
I had never read anything like this book. I couldn’t put it down. I read all three books in this series.
The original three books in this series were all excellent but as often happens the additional ones after he died were much less well done.
This was a little difficult for me to get through. I think that men would enjoy this book more than women as it leans towards cyber crime and deception.
I have read all books in this series. Some I have them all at least twice.
Awesome series
Not for the squeamish
I recommend this entire series. They were each page turners that I couldn’t put down. The characters are so interesting, and you never know what’s next. Great Reads!!
Whoa!!!!! Great Read!!
Alas, Stieg Larsen is no more, but he left us some good suspense novels and a heroine (anti-heroine?) with a heck of a back story.
Very good book from the trilogy. Exciting and a quick read.
Is this number two or three? No matter although I think order may be imported with this genius of an author. Read all three. What a tragedy the authors life was cut short….
The thrill is gone. The key to Larsson’s “The Girl… ” series is – THE GIRL – Lisbeth Salander. She is a great character.
Unfortunately, she is largely absent in this volume. As a result, we are left with a police procedural with very little mystery or suspense and with the good guys winning in the end.
Loved Lizbeth character and the entire series
This book features one of the most unusual female character of all time.
This is the 3rd book of the original trilogy of “Girl who” books. I have not read the ones written/published since the author of these died. However, I can say the 1st three were a wild, and periodically disturbing. ride. This one ties up a lot of the loose ends of story lines started in the 1st two. If you wanted to know more about what happened …
