Glitchy. Truthfully, was ready for it to end…
I’ve been hooked on “kid comes back” stories since seeing the Disney movie Candleshoe as a kid. This book, The Girl Who Came Back, is one of the best examples I’ve come across. I liked the characters and the twist was awesome – very satisfying. I’m sure I’ll read this one again.
Very interesting & fast moving.
Kept me reading way too late nice finsh
It was hard to put down. I really enjoyed it.
This is the first book I read by the author and my gosh I was impressed. I love a dope ass Psychological thriller read and this book delivered just that. I was guessing the whole time reading this story. There were moments when I didn’t know what to believe. I’m telling myself the whole time no six year old just disappears in thin air then comes back thirteen years later. I’m just like something is fishy with this situation. The whole time I’m saying what Lily has to do with Olivia. The last two to three chapters of the book , when it came together I had no clue at all. But one thing I can say I was not expecting the ending at all the ending was jaw dropping. The ending left me wanting more. I just could not believe it. When Kerry Wilkinson said a total gripping psychological thriller with a twist you want to see coming he owned up to that man I want stop talking about the ending because I did not expect that all. A secret a mother would take to her grave a man you really don’t know but think you know my gosh this one read.
An enjoyable book. I figured out the main twist to the story but it didn’t ruin the book for me. A later reveal was more unexpected. I would like to have been given more of a chance to get to know the as people, but the character development here was lacking even for the main characters. That’s a shame, but still a good read.
This book will definitely hold your attention and keep you guessing.
Great read!
Thought I knew where it was going but was totally surprised!
Great read ! – Page turner with the end result within reach at about half way thru the book. The clues are there but nothing revealed until it makes sense in the story. Loved the who dun it side and was total engrossing. Looking for more of his books. Great Story and Suspense.
For most of the book I felt sorry (and a little impatient) for the main character, she was so put-upon, but in the end she grew stronger and took charge of her life–and that’s what a character arc is all about. The story, which is one of those “grabbed from the headlines,” echoed the awful unsolved tale of Madeleine McCann, the child who was snatched while her parents were out with friends.
The other child, who spent her life feeling second-best to her lost sister, made me want to fix everything for her. Of course, she wouldn’t have thanked me, lol.
Great read
I just loved it because I thought it was different than most books.
Unpredictable thriller with an interesting ending.
Amazing twist that was unexpected.
Overall I thought it was well-written. The character development was intriguing. There are plenty of plot twists for those who appreciate them.
Predictable
Another book I did not want to put down until I finished. The characters, with a few exceptions, were very believable. Realistic dialogue. When the book ended, I was left with a feeling of “That’s it?”
This story shows how our choices shape our destinies. It is an interesting look at how perspective affects family relationships.
