Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller “The Girl on the Train has more fun with unreliable narration than any chiller since Gone Girl. . . . [It] is liable to draw a large, bedazzled readership.”—The New York Times “Like its train, the story blasts through the stagnation of these lives in suburban London and the reader cannot help but turn pages.”—The Boston Globe “Gone Girl fans will devour this … pages.”—The Boston Globe
“Gone Girl fans will devour this psychological thriller.”—People
A debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people’s lives.
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

It’s Very Interesting and Well Read, Inspirational, and Very Unpredictabal
This book kept me interested from the time I began reading it until I finished the book. The characters were well developed. The plot twisted and turned, and kept me on my toes.
Slow at first but got better.
Started out boring and it was really tough to read it to the end
Book better than the movie!
Didn’t like it at all, I found it slow and boring
In this case the movie was better than the book.
Many readers are loving this book; unfortunately, not my cup of tea. I did read it but you have to be your own recommender.
This book held my interest. A lot going on that you find out as the story progresses.
Overrated.
I hated this book. Not one character that I cared about.
great
I did not much care for this book but that may be just me. I have been reading for quite a long time now, (I’m over 70) but this one just seemed to be a waste of my time when there are so many better ones out there.
Really enjoyed it. One of those books you just need to finish.
Not my style
I loved this book. It is along the lines of “Gone Girl” but better. You can like this character but still fear of her and for her.
Found the book Almost Boring didn’t like the characters. Finished it only because I had started and gotten most of the way through.
I love reading this book, is realistic infomative twisted haunting unpredictive page-turner.
An imaginative book that I read in a day! Genius in its crafting. Unique in that the characters are mostly not very likable, but if you stick with the story, you find out the reasons for the lost personalities. A great who done it, skillfully written
A Murder Suspense that will leave you feeling like you were hit by the train.
