Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller “The Girl on the Train has more fun with unreliable narration than any chiller since Gone Girl. . . . [It] is liable to draw a large, bedazzled readership.”—The New York Times “Like its train, the story blasts through the stagnation of these lives in suburban London and the reader cannot help but turn pages.”—The Boston Globe “Gone Girl fans will devour this … pages.”—The Boston Globe
“Gone Girl fans will devour this psychological thriller.”—People
A debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people’s lives.
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

Loved this book
Great book.
Love this book! Brilliant
While I had a few issues with this book, some things that did not add up and a few confusing passages, it was a facinating story that I felt compelled to finish. Definitely a worthwhile read.
An edge of your seat mystery.
Read the book and then see the movie!
Loved it.
a page turner until the end
GOOD FICTION
I did not particularly like this book although it is highly rated. None of the characters are likeable and I felt the book was written in hopes of being made into a moviewhich it was.
Kept my interest. Fast paced
I loved this book. Books like this are few and far between.
A good book, kept me interested.
Do not start this book on a weeknight unless you have a lot of discipline! Otherwise you may call in sick.
wasn’t one of my favorites
I loved this amazing book. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The book made me question over and over again – who is lying and who is telling the truth? Who is sane and who is crazy? And, most importantly, what really happened? It was both unpredictable and shocking, and by the end you’ll be cheering for the main character and hoping she figures …
Awesome thriller!!!
This suspenseful novel kept me in turmoil. At no point did I think I had it figured out. It’s a great unique page-turner.
I gave it three stars. Could have been better but the ending saves it. The movie was actually better than the book….and that hardly ever happens!!
Excellent read
