I always enjoy settling in to read a Karen White novel and the Tradd Street series is no exception. Fast moving, intriguing characters, and a little ghostly presence add to the fun.
Have read all the tradd street books and have loved every one of them. I’ve already ordered the newest book in the series which will be out in October. Just the right amount of interesting characters, mystery, romance, , spooky and funny. Just an enjoyable bunch of characters
I always enjoy reading books about the south – live in the south so can identify with the places and they customs.
Loved it! Bought the others in the series and wish there were more.
I love paranormal and that part of the book was very good. but I got so tired of the lead character’s whining and stupidity It will be a while before i delve into another Karen White.
I recommend the book if You don’t mind supernatural events. I didn’t know there were ghosts in the story when I bought it but it was an entertaining read.
I really enjoyed this book.
Love her books & have really enjoyed this series.
I enjoyed both books in this series I have read so far
I have always enjoyed Karen White’s books. This is a little hard since ghost are involved but the story line is really good.
Enjoy the characters and the history of Charleston.
Loved this this book-great mystery
AWESOME like all her Tradd Street series
Read this immediately after House on Tradd Street which I thoroughly enjoyed. Wonderful characters (not too many) and haunting setting in the beautiful city of Charleston.
To me, Karen White’s books aren’t mysteries but stories set in the City renown for ghosts, hauntings and spirits. Being born and raised in Charleston, I heard many stories of the spirits and souls of the dead, hauntings and apparitions. In this book Melanie and her Mother decide to buy back their original home and restore it to its
original glory. They didn’t count on the ghost of a Confederate Soldier yearning to be with his lover or the deceit and betrayal of others. Great book easily read and if you think it’s a mystery well,
Bless your Heart!
I have read this book twice (I am rereading the series). It is escapist reading. I have enjoyed the social setting and the different characters. I know some of the reviewers don’t like the main character, but I enjoy her prickliness.
I have enjoyed this entire series by Karen White. I can’t wait until another one comes out!
It’s been a while since I read this book but best I recall it was a refreshing glimpse into Charleston.
Book #2 in the Tradd Street series continues the story of Melanie Middleton and Jack Trenholm and the haunted houses of historic Charleston. It’s heartbreaking, romantic, and more than once it gave me chills. In this book, Melanie begins to re-establish a relationship with the mother who left her years ago, all the while fighting her attraction to the handsome Jack and dealing with the spirits who won’t leave her alone. Having just visited Charleston, I’m loving the Tradd Street series and can’t wait to read the rest!
The next book in the continuing story in the Tradd street series by Karen White. I love how she writes bringing you into historical Charlestown, with wonderful characters and weaving in the mystery and ghostly encounters.
It was so good u dint want to put it down
