The Girl in the Woods is a really good book. It is Stephen King level of creepy. The book is well written and edited. There are a few typos and a couple of continuity breaks but overall the book is well done. The plot twists are great and the book is not at all predictable. I got it for free through Bookbub but it is certainly worth a few bucks if that is what it takes to get a copy.
Debated on whether this should be a 1-star or 5-star so chose 3-stars. Good story with a decent plot. But Suzannah is just to ughhh for my taste. And we don’t really need the political correctness to make this story worth reading – my child will never use a plastic straw. Another ughhh.
I thought that the culprit was either Orchid or Suzannah’s spirit. I was wrong. I enjoyed the twists and turns.
This book was good, but I wasn’t sure where it was going with all the weird things this adopted little girl (can’t remember her name because I read it weeks ago) was saying and doing. I wanted to smack the mother upside the head because she gave in to all this kid demanded her to do. haha! But then, she wasn’t used to being a mother so, I gave it time. 😉 But as the story line continued, there were twists and turns that I didn’t expect esp. with her best friend killing her husband and almost Kurt and then went after her, revealing the secret to this daughter’s ghost. Nearing the end of the book was the best part of the whole story. 🙂
Moderately good. Picked up a few grammar errors which for me not good enough in a published novel. Storyline is fairly engaging but slow. Had a few twists that made it worthwhile in the end.
Not a page turner
Surprise twist at ending!
