I’m sorry to simply say it was awful. I struggled thru 60% of the book, hoping it would pick up pace and turn exciting. I finally gave up and looked elsewhere.
WOW! This is a first time read for me by these authors. I’ll look for more of their books, but have no idea how they could top this. It isn’t your “usual” serial killer story.
Too graphic
So-so
First I have read by these authors and I am hooked. Great plot and characters. Beautifully written. I cant wait to read more
Excellent read, great story, real page turner.
A little unbelievable but interesting.
I was a little disappointed in this book. I thought it would be a little less formulaic, and a little more unpredictable. Maybe I’ve just read too many “thrillers” in the last few years, but I pretty much had things figured out midway through the book. While this book is part of a series it was described as being a “stand alone” with no other books needing to be read, but I really thought that it would have helpful to have previous knowledge of the main characters in order to understand them better. All in all, I would say that it’s not a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon, but I certainly wouldn’t stay up late to read it.
Enjoyed the book like reading it
I think it is hard to make serial killers stand out; however, this author managed that very well. I really enjoyed this book and think it was particularly well-written and well-plotted. The characters are memorable and the action is scary.
Well written and enjoyable to read
While it may be farfetched to call a book about a serial killer original, this was. I had to read it every chance I got until I finished it. Great read!!
I enjoyed this book and it’s twists and turns! It kept me going , wanting to find out what was going to happen. The character development was good.
I’m a new fan
Read this and couldn’t put it down ! The way you described the attack scenes is far the best I’ve ever read. Love the Characters.
This was so good I have to go find book 1 & 2 and read them. Keep up the great writing .
If you like Criminal Minds, then I highly recommend the Violet Darger Series. In my opinion you need to start with the first book The Dead End Girl. Now on with my review. This is the third book of the Violet Darger Series. This book starts where the last one ended. This is full of suspense, mind bending drama and lots of action. I could not put it down. This book is not as grisly as the first two, but the blood was not needed. There were three stories going on, the kidnapped girl Emily, the last victim Claire and Darger and Loshak. Sometimes this caused the book to lose some of the flow. L.T. Vargus and Tim McBain certainly know how to write action packed, suspenseful books. It was interesting seeing how strong the women in this book were. They never gave up. In my opinion if you like suspenseful books then I would highly recommend. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.
Extremely exciting. Loved it
Enjoyed this book!
Although I enjoy the characters, all the books seem to follow the same “recipe”
did want to put this book down till the conclusion
A very interesting, fast paced plot.
