I’m a fan of Julie Klassen and read everything by her. I’m still working through her backlist, and its always such a pleasure to spend a couple evenings reading her stories. I love to start a new one, and hate to have it end! A unique, and very satisfying story. 5 stars!
This is a well written story of a time long ago when social restraints were tight and social pressure was great. The main characters were very real, interesting and relatable. I loved the story and was captured immediately and held to the end. Great writing with heart and complexity.
My favorite Julie Klassen book!

I love Julie Klassen’s books.
A book about an author in a time when women were looked down upon as writers. And will her secret be found out?
I thoroughly enjoy any book by Julie Klausman and this one did not disappoint me. I recommend this to anyone who enjoy historical fiction.
I love her books! Keeps me hooked to the end!
Very enjoyable book. Some books are easy to predict the outcome but most of this book with a lot of twist & turns was not predictable.
What a wonderful book! What a wonderful story of redemption, mercy and forgiveness.
Julie Klassen has a wonderful way of weaving her story, her characters and their lives, together in unexpected ways, all the while reflecting historical places and events. It is a joy to read her books!
