Aditya is brilliant and successful. He is also an introvert who has no clue about how to win the girl of his dreams.
What chance does their love have?
Gita Reddy – The Girl from Trichy – Reviewed 7/18/20 – Read 7/14/20
It is easy to fall in love, but even harder to let the other person know how you feel!!
Malathi with a little help from her grandmother graduated with a background as a programmer. She applied to a large firm in Bengaluru, the capital of India’s southern Karnatake state. After lots of convincing she finally persuaded her father to let her leave their small town of Trichy, to go to work for the company that had approved her employment. Of course, there was a list of conditions that she would live with, but not one of them included “Falling in Love”! It was a big step for Malathi, and she categorically wanted this. When she arrived in the HR department the manager told her that there had been a mistake, that she did not qualify.
As she was forcefully discussing this with the manager, she heard a man’s voice. “Any problem?” He asked if he could be of any help. The manager changed her tune and told the gentleman, Adi, that there had been a mistake. He was so nice (and handsome) and told the manager that the employment letter had been sent, and if Malathi did not work out during the probation period, that she could be terminated then. Even though she was not happy with that comment, she relented and introduced the gentleman. He heads up the department that you have incorrectly been hired for. Now the story begins….
What did I like? This takes place in India and the customs are a bit different than they are here in the USA. The first being that fathers are more conservative with the lives of their daughters. Of course, women around the world still fall in the category of wanting to make a life for themselves. I think that is just a woman thing, being self-sufficient! The other thing that I think is worldwide is, falling in love!!! But, most important, I believe that it is harder to know the feelings of the other person and what they are thinking. Oh, my goodness, that must be the most important thing there is about people, conveying their feelings, then hoping that both feel the same way!!!!
What will you like? Humorous, intense, realistic, believable, romantic, and wholehearted human nature. When the hearts of the young fly off the shelves to be received by another, the confusion of human nature steps in. So many things can go wrong, and boy do they in this story. The warm and intense feeling will overwhelm you as Gita takes you on this journey of the hearts. Beautifully written and edited, another excellent read that should be in your library.
