British. Charming. Virgin. Reed Windsor doesn’t do relationships. Though he could charm the pants off any girl he wants, he’s not interested. He’s always been too captivated by a special someone from his past to get serious with anyone else. Sure, she has no clue he exists, but he’s willing to bide his time and convince her he’s worth a shot.Sassy. Beautiful. Way out of his league. Charlie Oded … league.
Charlie Oded is full of baggage – being left at the altar will do that to a woman. Having zero time for distractions, she’s not looking for . . . well, anything. She needs time to heal her heart, not another guy to string her along. Which is why when she meets the alluring Reed, she’s determined to keep things friendly.
But he makes her heart race and she makes him want to settle down.
And neither of them wants to walk away.
Reed’s never wanted a relationship, but Charlie’s changed the game, and he’s willing to play if she is.

I feel like I can’t express enough how much I love this book. This was one of the most fun books for me to read. It is a feel good romance about characters 22 year old Reed and 27 year old Charlie. And yes Charlie is a female with a name normal used for a man. But that is just one of the many things that makes her unique. But she doesn’t know it. She had her heart broken years ago when she almost married a man that didn’t deserve her. She spent the last few years hiding away, focusing on her now very successful business with her friends Blake and James, who are also women with names usually used for men. Reed and her meet at the college. He is a senior and she is returning to take a few business classes. They have an instant connection. And it turns out she is the girl behind the red door he has admired since he was a small boy. His family’s vacation home was across from her home. They start a fun and passionate relationship but old wounds need healing and mistakes are made. But their bond is so strong as the reader we root for them to overcome it all.
This book was a blast. I was laughing so much. And she had me hooked with the Supernatural references. Supernatural fans will scream out in praise reading this. Especially when there is a ghost hunt involved. But this is not a paranormal story. This is a sweet romance. The author shows that no matter what things happen in life everyone deserves happiness. We just need to let go of our hurt or fear of being hurt to truly live our lives. I thought that was an awesome message.
I can’t recommend this book enough. It is now my new favorite. I guarantee it’s a fun read. Readers will fall in love with Reed and Charlie. Reed is charming, sweet, sexy with an addictive British accent. Charlie is strong (whether she knows it or not), hilarious and has the biggest heart. But warning, you won’t be able to put it down once you start. And at the end it concludes beautifully but I still want more!
Ever since Charlie was left at the alter, she has her walls up and is not looking for another romance. Charlie and Reed were meant to be together, even though she’s older than him. Their connection is electric. They both are fun, witty together. Their friends bring additional fun to this story. It was, funny, and heartbreaking at times.
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell bring this story to life! Giving all the characters their own personality an voices.

4 Cranky Stars
I’m not sure where this book came from it appeared like magic. I jumped in without really knowing what it was about, but I adored it. I mean what’s not to love about a red head with the last name Windsor (ok not that royal but he’s related to him) and a girl trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart?
Charlie was left jilted at the alter by a douchebag named Brandon. She has just been existing since throwing herself into her business and attending her last year of school. You see Charlie is a 27-year-old in college and she feels old. Her best friend and business partner Blake pushes her out her comfy nest and forces her to live. A happenstance encounter is when she meets Reed Windsor. He makes her feel alive but seriously he’s 22 why would he want to date an old lady? Reed slowly pulls Charlie out her safe little box and shows her how she should really be treated. Reed has always loved the girl behind the red door. He felt in some way he’s always waited for her in some sort of subconscious way. He attends college for theater with his best friend Amelia. When he finally locks eyes on the grown-up Charlie, he knows it’s fate. He shows her how she should be loved and gives her one heck of an experience along the way. Reed may be young and may have ties to a certain royal family, but he is wise beyond his years making Charlie hopeful for their future.
Tell me something real…..ok well this book was cute! Like its marketed as a feel-good romance and it does just that. You find yourself cheering for them the whole time. Even when things got rocky you still wanted to see them succeed. I loved that Reed has always known Charlie despite her not having many memories of him other than the kid who played with matchbox cars. This book is also full of some of the best friends anyone can ask for. All in all I’m glad this book appeared because it was nice for once to just take a break from all the dark and dramatic romances out there and just have an easy read.
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell do a great job narrating this story.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters within it. It’s on the sweeter, lighter side yet still has some steam. I liked the set up of where they were and what was going on around them. There were a couple of little twists which worked well, and the larger twist was really good. I could happily have stayed longer with this group of characters. I’d love to know what happens to them next, especially seeing as where the book ended.
I liked the story but I found the end a little overdramatised, I can’t reveal more without giving away to much.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
The storyline is good and has a nice progression to a happy ending.
Sweet love and lots of feelings
Realistic characters that is developed in to different personalities.
Narrators:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. I loved it!

This story had my attention from the beginning. Charlie Oded was left at the alter with no explanation appalling. So her meeting the suave, debonair Reed Windsor his impressive background and charming English accent had me hooked, as did Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell they made a fab duet in this slow burn romance.

4 Review of The Girl Behind The Red Door by Cassie Graham
Audio Review:
Cassie Graham is a new author to me as were the narrators Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell
The narrators did a great job with this story and I enjoyed listening to it as they complimented one another well.
However this story was not one that I could really become invested in. It is well written but the story was missing something for me; of course that is just my opinion and please do not let it dissuade you from listening.
I couldn’t really connect with the characters and to be totally honest I am not sure why, however I will be looking to read or listen to more from Cassie Graham when time permits
4.5 Sweet & Heartwarming Stars!
I really fell hard for this funny, sweet and heartwarming romance. Charlie has been through so much in her that has made her a warrior. She changes her heartbreak into something that helps others. To make her business more successful, she takes classes at the local college. This is where she meets Reed, the sexy Brit who makes her believe in love again. Reed wants Charlie from the moment he sees her. He is so sweet and patient with her, allowing her to slowly let down her guard for him. They have so much fun together and their growing feelings and attraction, make their sizzling chemistry explode. I also liked all their friends and family who added more fun and warmth to this story. I was a little frustrated with the drama towards the end but really loved it as a whole.
This story was made even better by Sarah Puckett, and Steve Campbell’s beautiful narration. They made each character come alive, allowing me to feel all their fun, fear, anticipation, anxiety, and love. I always enjoy Pucketts’ work, but this is my first listen to Campbell. I really loved his performance and will check out more of his work.
Audiobook Review: The Girl Behind The Red Door is a whimsical, and witty listen with a enchanting prologue. A serendipity romantic comedy that reveals Charlie & Reed have a much older, deeper connection that began when they were children when Reed’s family spent their summers across the road from the girl behind the red door. For Reed Windsor, Charlie is “The girl of his dreams”. Reed’s character comes with a bit of mystery. With unexpected twists brewed with supporting character’s that play a intricate role as well as they mesh together. Chemistry between these characters is visible. The Supernatural references in this real life fairytale romance were joyous. A sweet piquant tale involving waffles and whipped cream.
Narrator Steve Campbell’s british accent is deep, clear-cut and smooth. I love British accents and it was a fruition to listen to.
Sarah Puckett narrates this beautiful tale in a way that brings the character’s and narative to reality. Together, these narrators complement each other & the tone and pace flows through smoothly.
Reed is very handsome and very talented but he has no desire to have a relationship or even fall in love he watched his parents have a terrible marriage and he didn’t want to make the same mistake. He wanted to be free and just enjoy life until the girl from his childhood shows up in his college class. He can’t stop thinking about her and how she was always his fantasy will he change his ways for a chance to be with the girl behind the red door?
Charlie had it all love and a great life until her boyfriend left her at her wedding with a smile note. After a broken heart and no confidence she decided to open a business that’s insanely successful but she needs one more thing to dive this business to the next level her college degree.
A handsome Ginger with a sexy accent gets her attention will she let down her brick wall to the world and have another go at love?
Reed is the best he is respectful and loving and will do anything to show Charlie just how much he loves her. This book was super sweet and cute with a little heart break and some laughter I really enjoyed it.
I won a copy of this book from the author in a FB contest.
As a whole, I liked it! This was my first book by Cassie Graham and I would read more by her in the future.
I was surprised when this turned out to be a new adult/college romance since the bio didn’t allude to that at all. I usually avoid college set books because I’m well past that age and I just don’t enjoy the “college life style” that tends to come with it. And technically it’s only part new adult since the hero is 22 and the heroine is 27. Honestly, if she had of been younger than him I probably wouldn’t even have read it!
After I got past the idea of them being in college, and got to the heroine being 27 and a small business owner going back to get her business degree, I got much more into it.
Ok, this may seem weird but the reason I dropped a star is because Reed, the hero, was TOO perfect. He didn’t seem to have any flaws at all! He was generous, respectful of women, ambitious, kind, accepting of different types of people, loved animals, wanted a big family, didn’t care what others thought of him, and was mature. Don’t get me wrong, these are all qualities that I like in a man (real or fictional) but I felt like everything about Reed was magnified times 10 to make him the perfect man. Spoiler warning (but not really cause if you didn’t figure it out in the beginning you are clueless) she gets mad at him for leaving her secret love and encouragement notes………ummmmmmm, who gets mad about something so sweet?! Ok, so he didn’t immediately fess up when she told him about the notes, but REALLY?! I thought she WAY over reacted and by saying she felt betrayed was a bit of an over exaggeration. I was literally scratching my head when this happened.
Before the “betrayal” happened, I was really digging the story. I’d gotten used to Reed’s perfect-ness and was really enjoying their relationship progression.
Another thing that bugged me was that they both had red hair. Natural red heads are rare and how would it happen that two naturally red headed people fall in love? She’s more strawberry and he’s more carrot top, but still. It was weird, though it didn’t directly influence my rating.
There were a few other inconsistencies that I peg to her being a newer author. Even though the chapters were clearly labeled by POV, sometimes I would accidently not read the name and their voices seemed to blend together so I wasn’t sure who’s POV I was reading and I’d have to back track. A few pieces of info that should have been provided in the beginning of the book, weren’t brought up til midway through (like Reed’s dream being running his family’s B&B. I thought he wanted to be an actor since Ms. Graham established how much he loved being on the stage in the beginning). I wanted steamier sex scenes too. Especially since Reed was a virgin and Charlie wasn’t. I would have liked her schooling him in some bedroom techniques. The two scenes we did get were fine. The initial “deflowering” was more detailed than the second scene, but my kindle didn’t get very steamy if you know what I mean.
Still a good story with strong characters and great character progression! The writing style was strong. I would absolutely love to read a book about Ham and Amelia! I definitely want to be a fly on that wall! You’ll understand if you read the book!
There’s quite a bit of F bombs used. I would have preferred less, but it wasn’t too distracting.
My first book by this author, but definitely will not be my last!
Charlie is a woman left at the alter who even a couple years later is trying to come to terms and realize her own worth. She took the lemons and made lemonade by starting her own business, which is very successful. She is back in college working on her degree.
Reed is a college student. Younger than Charlie and not really looking for a relationship.
I loved both these characters and their sweet romance!
I also enjoyed the prior connection and the “girl behind the red door”.
The writing and character development was so good! Looking forward to more books by Cassie Graham!
